Searched, but didn't feel like looking through several pages of irrelevant junk.

How exactly does absorb work? I keep seeing people mention it acting like 2x resistance, but I'm not sure I understand it entirely. And is it applied the same way for both straight and percentage absorb?

Which is it?
A: That amount of damage is negated entirely, then is used to heal you.
100 damage with 10 absorb: 100 damage - 10 = 90 damage, then you are healed 10, resulting in 80 total

B: Full damage is done, then you are healed.
100 damage with 10 absorb: 100 damage taken, you are healed 10, resulting in 90 total damage.

Also, what is the cap on absorb?

Section 44 should have all the info you need. Should be accurate too.
