Question about "open wounds"

Does OW work against PI monster?
I need a confirmation because I remember to have read something about that. If that is true (although strange because how you actually open a wound in somebody that is immune to physical dmg?) is this a viable way to deal with PI (obviously couppled with a mod Pmth)?

Yes, OW works against PIs, it's how I dealt with unbreakable PIs with my Bowazon.

Like Milb said, it works.

I use OW against PIs with my Singer. He shouts Battle cry to decrease enemy's defense to 0 and then hits it with Malice RW. Then I just keep the monster stunned and let Merc's small amount of elemental damage take care of it.
Berserk would be a nice thing to have...

(note) you have to be able to hurt the monster in order to apply OWs. For example - if you only have physical damage you won't be able to apply OW to a physical immune monster, but if you have +1-2 cold damage small charm, you will be able...
