Is this claw good for a trapper?

Is it much better then the simple +3 trap claw? Is it much more valuable than a simple +3 trap claw? :scratch:

you could find better but if has better other stats than hoto you could use it instead of hoto,but there are better claws than this

If that was just +2 traps, +2 Lightning sentry you would be on a gold mine. But as it is, it is ok, but I would only use it as an offhand claw. Handy plus skills and you can still use a nice +3/ias claw on your main hand...

I personally find Hotos a waste for a PvM trapsin. Why waste so much cash on a build that can actually get its gear all by buying off a merchant ? Unless you intend to go the nigma route but usually you do not need that much FCR.

my current trapsin has a +3 traps +2 ls claw and a +2 traps +3 ls claw. I'm going for one cunning runic talon of quickness in my main hand and one cunning runic talon of enlightenment in my off hand eventually. :badteeth: I've worked it out so that i can get level 55 lightning sentry before shouts. :wink2: many people scorn at c/c for trapsins, but i feel that i can get more +traps and that weapon block, which can block ele attacks, is better than any old shield. Also, i'll have more health because i won't have to pump dex for max block. :brainiac:

How do you get lvl 55 lighting sentry? What kind of gear for that? If you can really do that you should write a guide.

I've gotten it up into the 40's but that was before 1.11.

However, using a +2 Ammy is probably a better idea, as is a +2 Circlet, simply because other mods are your friend. Unless you used a +3/20FCR circlet and a +3/10FCR ammy, in which case you could still reach the 65 FCR, you would just have no resists... or anything...

exactly, i had the +2 ammy counted as maras for some resists. And if i was going to use a +2 circlet, why not just grab a shako? There are lots of options that give me the resists i need and the skills i want. But why would a trapper need fcr? just need a quick claw with some ias for fast trapping. i would only need to mb once or twice to stun the group because my traps would be dealing such a rediculous amount of damage. Maybe my build would help you out. i'm going for maxed ls damage so:

sweb - 20
cb sent - 20
ls - 20
ds - 20
shadow master - 6 (after build is done, 1 at level 30)
Bos - 1
Fade 1
Mb - 1
all prerequisites - 1

FCR > Killing Speed in terms of run speed in PvM. Being able to teleport faster saves your life and makes the run generally faster.
