best merc for sorc

hi all. one question: What will be the best merc for meteorb/blizz sorc? and why?

The answers that you've already received in the SPF will be some of the best.

To re-iterate:

1. HF, for crowd control, even though you already chill with your cold spells, is preferable for a sorceress.

2. Might is very rarely used for sorcs, although there are some niche builds and special situations where you might use them.

3. Defiance/Prayer mercs are again rarely used, and only preferable in limited situations or niche builds.

For a Meteor/Blizz sorc, I would reccomend a A5 Baba merc. Equip him with eBOTD Colossus Blade, Upped eArreats, eFortitude. His tanking ability is almost as good as a Valkyrie, always good for your timered Meteors and Blizzards. And he also kills almost everyting in the game, with BO even Andariel have a hard time killing him. He is just a brute killingmachine.

I gotta back frosburn 100% on this one. Act 2 HF merc all the way.

Act 1 mercs don't do the damage of Act 2 or 5, even if well equiped. You really want a tank for a merc anyway. Act 5 merc's do decent damage but aren't as durable as Act 2 merc's. You also loose the benifit of the aura, and that's the best part.

If you're an Insight merc user, then Prayer merc is the only way to go. I'm a strong advocate, because I like it when you can teleport around without ever having to use potions, except Rejuvs in EXTREME emergency situations.

BTW the life regeneration from the merc's Prayer is doubled since Prayer is a soft synergy for Insight's Meditation. It's like drinking infinite Minor/Light healing and mana potions for free and it's active all the time.

when u teleprot the rouge shoots and dnt move an nothin can hit u or the rouge if she dnt move so its like godmode bug with sorceres and rouge merc

I would use a pryer merc if u give him insight, but if your going to use a diffrent wepon go with HF. I know that FO and blizz will chill, but the HF can chill cold immunes. Im not sure if it can chill chill immunes, like the ones that pop up in throne. Mite is also a good arua for a pure blizzerd sorc casue it will have massive damage output if given the right wepon. Ive never use a defience arua merc on a sorc but i could see how it would help when your teleing.

Hrmm... I suppose that Prayer/Insight is a really good merc...especially if for cold sorcs, because you will freeze them anyway. Thanks for the tips (even though this isn't my thread...*runs*) :grin:. I would never use a rouge for a sorc (PvM)...IMO yuk yuk yuk. Act 2 mercs are the :brainiac: way to go :thumbsup:

So you just tele around and wait for your merc to kill everything?
LOL, this is PvM, not PvP, we need higher killing speed.
