Does Infinity help?

If my merc carries an Infinity, does the -51% to lightning resistance help my sorc do more damage? My ES sorc tears apart non-LIs, but LIs take a long time, and Maggot lair is...painful.

You'd have to carry the infinity yourself to get the -enemy resistance benifit (hence the thread about carrying infinity yourself or not).
