Just wonderin......

How would I calculate the dmg of a longsword up'd to a cryptic sword?

Is it just the dmg of a cryptic sword? Or do you add the dmg each time you up it?

Prolly dumb question. Haven't played in years and was thinking of playing again, so I thought I'd try and catch up on all the new features...

when you up something the base damage (or defense) of the new item is just the same as the base damage on the exceptional/elite counterpart. Any +% ed or other mods will stay the same, but now they'll be multiplied by the new base damage.
