VanillaMac Intro [1.11b SP Unmodded] - ISO War Traveller, Dracul's Grasp

Hello all,

I am new to these forums but not new to Diablo II. I've played more than I care to admit, going back to when it first came out. I've recently had more time on my hands and gotten back into it after a hiatus. So please excuse me if I don't know every acronym. Also, I have a Mac, so I am clueless as to mods and the seemingly wonderful ATMA, which almost makes me want to switch to a PC.

Anyway, a little about my Diablo self... I have a bunch of mid-level characters, and have beaten the game at least on normal with every character and on nightmare with a couple... my main character is a lvl 80 assassin that beat Hell a while ago. I wish I could play the realm uber-quests on SP, but I've never gotten into Battle.net (even if I had, my char would have been deleted long ago due to inactivity).

So, my only challenge now is finding better and better stuff... with varying amounts of success. I've done so many NM and Hell Mephisto runs I can't even count... and it's gotten boring and mostly fruitless. I've recently started running the Pit on Hell (had a bit more success - just got Gheed's Charm this morning!). Sadly, I killed the Cow King and finished the Pindleskin level before I realized they were great MF runs. Crap.

Anyway, all my items are unmodded, unhacked, untraded, etc. I found almost all of them on 1.10 (maybe a few on earlier versions, but they've all been upgraded) and recently upgraded to 1.11b.

I've grown frustrated finding nothing, finding the same stuff, or finding class-specific stuff that I can't use. I have some decent stuff, mostly excep. uniques, but my gloves and boots could use some work. I'm looking mainly for War Traveller (to help with MF) and Dracul's Grasp. The Harlequin Crest looks pretty cool too. I'm sure there's a lot of other great stuff out there, but I'm starting small and don't want to go TOO crazy on trading (then what would I have to play for if I had everything??).

I can offer a wide variety of excep. uniques and some excep. set pieces (I also have a ton of normal set stuff and some normal uniques that I kept, but they're probably pretty useless to most on here). My charms mostly suck (except fot Gheed's) and my jewels are terrible. I have some decent runes, but I'm new so I can't trade high-level ones for a while. Some of my better stuff includes: Kira's Guardian (+65% AR), Arreat's Face, Valkyrie Wing, Hellmouth, Zakarum's Hand, The Oculus, Goldwrap, Rockstopper, Buriza, Toothrow (ethereal), Trang Oul's Guise, M'Avina's Embrace, Hwanin's Splendor, Magnus Skin, Whistan's Guard, and Natalya's Soul). Oh, I have some (not a ton, but around 10-15?) perfect gems that I could trade.

Note: To store all this stuff (since I don't have ATMA, increased stash, etc.), I use a second computer and a bunch of lvl 1 mules that just hold stuff for me.

Since I'm new, I'm willing to provide items to trusted members for examination BEFORE receiving the items in trade. I'm also willing to give away a few items as a gesture of goodwill - people can examine them and post results if you'd like. Sadly, I don't have ATMA, which I understand makes this all a lot easier.

For giveaway as an extra bonus/free inspection to someone willing to trade for War Traveller, Dracul's Grasp, or Harlequin Crest (or anything else juicy):

Thanks for the reply... that list is very cool - was that created with Flavie? I tried to download it (it said it would run on Macs, and it does launch), but it appears that I need ATMA for it to actually work (which, AFAIK, doesn't run on Macs). That would be WAY easier than me trying to keep track of what I do and don't have...

It doesn't appear you have anything I particularly need right now (I actually have a blade of Ali Baba), but lemme know if you find something I'm looking for - I'd be happy to trade the Toothrow and/or the Trang Oul's Guise for any of the 3 items I mentioned above.

According to your profile, you are RRM/RWM, what is the status of the items you are offering here?

oops, everything is 1.11 rrw/rwm

if you haven't traded yet vanilla mac, it means i use red rune mod and rune word mod. if you trade with me, you can't trade with vanilla (no mods) people anymore or someone who only uses 1 mod. I'll keep a look out for you if i get a double of those items.

Also, beyond that, you risked mod tainting VanillaMac without his or her knowledge by not declaring the mods status of your items.

Not the highest MF, but I'm not gonna lie, it's better than the crappy 27% MF boots I have right now.

Sadly, I don't have 15 pgems quite yet (you're lucky, I'm totally new to trading and have no clue if that's fair or not, but I don't really care about pgems, so it's fine by me... as soon as I find a few more!).

Any interest in anything else I have (listed above) in addition to the 9 pgems I have? (I can also throw in like 8 varied flawless!) I have a 4 os boneweave, Goldstrike, Suicide Branch, and I can offer runes Hel or below I think while on probation - I have almost every lower rune. I also have an extra +20 life sc.

I didn't realize pgems were so valuable - time to start looking for more!

I'm up to 11 pgems (sad, I know - I wish I knew they were currency... once I found one of each I stopped collecting them). I actually played all damn night! At least I found Im. King's Forge, Tal Rasha's Lidless Eye, Stormchaser, and Razor's Edge. Can I throw in a rune or something (they seem to be valuable)? I have like 4 Amn's...

What I meant is that I was interested maybe about trading the shako....maybe once you get some other nice exceptional S/U, or a handful of pgems, we could work something out :grin:

I THINK I need a .d2s (character) file... I don't even know what an "item file" is or how I would use it. (I don't have ATMA, Flavie, etc.)

Thanks! I recieved it and it was just as you said. It showed up as unidentified at first, but once identified had the exact stats you quoted. Can ATMA show stats for unidentified items too??

Nope, wouldn't taint you, stats are the same, it will work with 1.11. Some people just prefer items from the version they are currently playing:)
