Not to be confused with the test runs signups, this thread has been remade by demand. Here is the list of people who stated their interest in a ladder-4-start group:

I'm just starting up after a 4year break and i could really use some "diablo-buddies", since I would never even reviel that i play diablo to ANYONE i know. So, could you explain to me what this "[EuScL Season4] Gathering Troops v2.0" is? Is it just a gathering of people playing with eachother? How is it organized? When do we begin?

Btw, i'll be doing a meteorb.

We are collecting a team of players to play with when the ladder resets.
So it is not anything we will be doing right now.
(except for testruns that is)
Main use is to get a good party up, for getting us all a high lvl character early in the next ladder!

I only played Ladder for 1 week 4 years ago... so i have actually NO idea what you are talking about. The Ladder resets?

Edit: so i read about Ladder-reset. But i couldn't find any information concerning the next Ladder-reset, so it could, hypothetically, never happen?

anyway, put me down with a Meteorb-Sorc.

It could hypothetically never happen, yes.

Check out the v1.3 version of this thread, I am eager to get the testrun going again, and if we can fill up the spots in the party, I'd be happy to help you to norm baalruns (which is where we are stuck ATM due to lack of people/interest).

I'd like that very much! And btw, all my knowlegde of diablo2 shortenings has completely vanished, so stuff like "test-runs" and "moat trick" says absolutely nothing to me. Fx: Why do you need more than 8 people to do a test-run, since there can only join 8 people in 1 game?

My guess is that test-runs are games where you start from scratch, without getting equip from other chars/mules, and then push it all the way to finishing hell?

That's the basics of it, yes. We made accounts with a [S4] tag on them, and shut off all interaction between those accounts and the rest of b.net, then the plan was to rush for hell baal as fast as possible (just like if it really was a reset) with the whole group, in several parties. However, lack of planning from my side, and lack of interest, the whole thing got pretty small after just the first couple evenings.

Moat trick is where you lure mephisto towards the blood pit with the portal to act4 in it, and then tele/jump over, and fire at him from a distance, when his AI tells him to move towards you (which he can't) before he attacks you (his range allows him to, but he just doesn't). This makes mephisto killable for a lvl 24 sorc if need be, as long as the other monsters down there can be avoided or disposed of.

Nobody has, but this ladder season has been more than a year now, so its long past due.

Put me down as a signup for when the ladder resets.
I don't know how much time I'll have to take part in any test runs prior to the reset, but feel free to whisp/pm me if you need an extra player in your test runs.

Favoured characters are Fishymancer, Strafezon. Never played a sorc, but would be interested in giving it a try if people can offer help and don't mind newbish mistakes.

Yes. But when this shoots off, the ladder resets anyway, so no one has anything, except starter weapon, 1 tp scroll, 1 id scroll and maybe a buckler.

If you decide to join the test runs, then you have to make a [S4] tagged acc, and sign up in another thread (easily found in this forum, also EU SC L)
