View Full Version : Best areas for pure LF/CS zon, i.e. few LI's

Hi, tried search, didn't found what I needed.

I've been running pits alot with my lvl 88 javazon and whenever I meet LI's I use poison, jab and merc/valk to kill them.

My question is if the amount of LI monsters are evenly distributed in all areas of the game, or if some places are better to run for a LF/CS amazon. I also care about what kind of monsters are LI, since some types are harder to take down than others. All of you who have LF javazons, where do you play and how do you deal with LI's?

Or maybe I should just remake the char and do a hybrid... :undecided:

The only complelely LI-free area in Hell that I can think of is the Arcane Sanctuary. It's not a lvl 85 area however.

Before getting infinity I used demonarch + timat's rebuke to jab LI monsters down and I'm satisfied with them.

Thanks for the response!

I maybe should clear that I'm not looking for completely LI-free areas, more so I would like to hear from you where you prefer to play with your LF javazons!

The pits is the easiest to run since the only LI there are the dark rogue archers which are rather easy to dispatch.

CS is fine if you get a powerful LF to swap all those knights and venom lords quickly. The only LI there finger mages are quite weak.

Shenk and Eldritch are non-LI so almost always I kill them first.

Also try getting a few friends and hang around anywhere, especially WSK2/3/Baal, together, that's fun enough to do so :).

Pindleskin is the obvious choice, throw a decoy in the middle before you kill pindle, then go back and take out the rest who are hopefully crowded around the decoy.

I tend to Pindle/Eldretch/Shenk for a whack of XP and some magic find.

True enough. The king is the only lit immune in there, but then again, you don't really want to kill him anyway.

Yeah if King wasnt lighting immune I guess that WOULD be a problem since you would accidentally kill him. Anyways, I thought king's immunities varied from time to time, maybe I am wrong.

Here's a few more suggestions:

For running the pits, get yourself "Laying of Hands" from the disciple set. The LI immunes there are all demons, and 350% extra damage makes a noticable difference in how fast they go down. Personally, I'd just aim a LF attack at one, doing physical damage to my target, and lightning damage to everything around it. 3 hits apiece are generally enough.

Completely agree on cows, of course. LF zon's are so good at cows it's almost unfair to run them :-)

Another thought is running the countess. Not a LVL 85 area, but she drops lots of medium runes, and keys can be saved up for some good trades. A keyset is worth a HR.

If you can get yourself an Enigma and Nature's Peace, you might consider running Nihlathak for destruction keys (worth 3 hate/terror keys each). I run him all the time with my LF zon. Yes, there are LI's down there, but the only troublesome ones are Tomb Vipers, and they can kill anyone anyway. With Enigma, you can tele right on by. I wouldn't recommend doing that with a hardcore character, but if you don't mind dying occasionally, it can be pretty profitable. LF can take out the whole crowd of critters around Nihlathak in one hit.

Hope that helps,

Paul
