ethereal dimensional blade

Hi, just found this, and I'm sure I saw something about this, but have to ask anyways.....

can an ethereal dimensional blade (normal item) be upgraded into an ethereal phase blade on ladder?

thanks for answer in advance, so I can decide whether it's worth taking up inventory space :)

If you imbue a normal, grey-named ethereal dim blade into a rare dim blade, you can up it both on NL and L into an ethereal phase.

If it's a unique ethereal dim blade, like Ginther's Rift, then you can up it on ladder into a unique ethereal phaseblade.

You cannot up a grey named item on any flavor of play (NL or L.)

You can't upgrade runewords, no.

You could make a runeword in the dimensional blade though.

what about a runeword item?The only things you can upgrade are rares(yellow) and unique(gold) items. Runewords are considered in the game to be socketed items.

thanks; was looking over my old cube recipies, but thought there might be a way to do it that i didn't know about......

You can imbue it.
The most expensive weapons are usually ethereal, Fool's, Cruel, Master's, Mechanic's, Swiftness, etc. phaseblades.
