CS Zon vs. Smiter

Can CS take out a smiter w/o the element of surprise? I'm thinking that I could try for a higher fhr bp and more ias. But before I start trading for charms and more gear, what kinda experience have people had trying to pull this off. Is it a lost cause and should smiters just be avoided (or jumped :evil: )? Would kb gloves help?
