Okay I just checked the damage, it seems open wounds is pants for any character build in PvP.

No Open Wounds, will not that damaging do help :) Just not that much on smiter were you would expect a 2/3 hit knockout :D

And, smiter usually knock out there opponents in seconds, henco no real use for Ow ;/

You're both utterly wrong. Open wounds is VERY helpful vs certain classes. Even to the point where I occasionally smite with an um'd wiz and swordback hold instead of grief and hoz. Or dracs + crafted ow belt. There's several different setups and opponents that makes open wounds an absolute lifesaver.

Oh yea smite once, run away till open wounds runs out and then smite again.

Wrong, there are several opponents that a Smiter (even a great one) will get murdered by if he tries to tank. In these cases, Open Wounds is vital.
