So I played DII for some time now, and I finally decided to go online. I had a blizz-sorc and a FO-CL-sorc. Those are great for mf-ing and fast lvling. But naturally I got stuck at hell 1 act. What is the best (or one of the best) chars for a pleasant journey through hell?
At least direct me to a char type (melee, magic) What class and so on.
Thx in advance ppl !

I am sooooo going to be evrae this time...
a great choice for clearing hell would be a hammerdin ( a paladin using blessed hammer skill) or a summonmancer. Both can clear hell easily with cheap gear. Hammerdins are casters; a cheap one would use a 'spirit' crystal sword and a 'spirit' monarch, skin of the vipermagi armor, peasant crown hat or 'lore' hat, magefists, and rest with rares. Also, all characters can handel hell mode better with a merc, especially an act2 one...
The Spirit items are cheap to make for a hammerman but are Ladder Only runewords.
Keep your resists up to be successful in Hell.
cold sorc it extremely tough in hell, waaaayy too many immunes
if you plan on using your cold/light sorc in hell get a hireling that can easily take down the immunes
i use a barb hireling with e-flamebellow, e-fort, and delerium, tanks nice and kills most immunes easily, only problem areas are in a4 (iron maden curse) and when swarmed, just tele quick when you see him taking mass dmg

If you like to do the work yourself, you can get a frenzy barb, zealot or wind druid, as they can do fairly well in hell.
If you like to sit back and let others kill, try a trap assasin or summon necro.

Thx. But i Guess I would need a couple of (or a lot of ) fairly good items to do this. And here comes the next question... What is the best char for MF-ing? Would it be a blizz-sorc (so I have heard) or something altogether different ? I am playing a CL-FO-Sorc right now. Will it be sufficiently strong to effectively MF ?
CL / FO and meteorbs are both very popular mf'ers.
another would be a hammerdin (pally type) which requires some more expensive gear.

Chose a dual element sorceress if you want to magic find everywhere and you don't have enigma.
Here are four good builds for MF.
Blizzard-Fireball:

Blizzard-Firewall: (Use Glacial Spike as main synergy instead of Ice Blast)
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=217480
Meteor-Orb:
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=254070
Hydra-Orb: (no guide for this one)
20 Frozen Orb (skimp on hard points if you have a lot of plus skills, around 23 is good enough)
20 Hydra
20 Fireball
20 Firebolt
1+ Cold mastery (you want 17 after skills)
1+ Fire mastery (everything else)
prereqs
one point wonders (warmth, telekinesis, teleport, static)
Hydra-Orb is primarly a fire sorceress with Orb for chilling and for killing fire immunes. When you get Orb to about level 10 stop pumping it and max your hydra, fireball, and firebolt. Then max Orb, get your cold mastery to 17 after skills, and put everything else into fire mastery.
Use telekinesis against fire/cold immunes. Don't forget to enchant your merc and party members. You'll have a pretty nice enchant with some plus skills.
