View Full Version : Spirit vs Lidless with Tal's
i have the tals set on my sorceress that is level 85 and is a frozen orb sorc. I am currently using a Lidless shield but i have seen the stats on a spirit and they look promising. Can anyone give me some direction in what shield to use? I am pretty sure that i can make a spirit shield if i need to or at least trade for one, but i dont want to spend the time or resources to get one if a lidless is better.
My rings are a ravenfrost and a soj. I can also use double soj's when i dont need the "cannot be frozen."
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have 156 str to equip the Spirit? If you do, the +1 skill and FCR are really helpful, and your resists are significantly higher. Spirit makes it a lot easier to hit the 105 breakpoint (set gives 50% FCR).
On another note, I keep rolling 34 Spirits :(
Thanks for the help.
Another question, why are the spirit shields expensive? it looks like very simple runes to make it. I may be wrong because i do not trade or use runes very often.
But either way, looks like ill be hunting for a spirit then.
Thanks again

Because Spirit can roll anywhere from 25-35% FCR, and there is a demand for 35% FCR Spirits, since it reaches the 105% FCR breakpoint when used with full Tal's (50%) and Magefist (20%).
You don't need the CBF. Ditch the Ravenfrost for a SoJ.

I only count 50% FCR aswell. All else is bugged/hacked or a miracle.
