first good ring from cain quest in yrs

wow i think this could be the first time i've got a ring from doing the cain quest that didnt get sold back to the shop in over 5 yrs. it was from the nm quest in NL. its a nice starter ring for the lev but its still not as nice as some of the old pre lod rings you could find before they changed the lev req for some mods.

i thought there were no more double leech rings, read about it somewhere but it seems i was wrong :laugh:

There where no dual leech rings in 1.09 and a few versions before it, now, they are dropping again(and spawning from quests).
Cathans is only better then that if you wear one of the other cathans. :)
And at least the req is low. I allways tend to keep dual leech, even if that is all they give.
A while back I also received a semi-usefull(dual leech with minor mods) ring from the gidbin quest. A chap in my party who did basically all of the killing got it from me since he didn't have any form of manaleech. He was relying on getting hit(DTM on angelics) to get his dose of mana. He was quite happy with it. Mind you, without him I would not have gone near the flayer Jungle or ever done that quest, so he earned it while I earned XP. :)

I havent gotten more than maybe one good rare ring from either the Cain quest or gidbinn since LoD came out. Most of the rings, especially the nm and hell ones from 3 of my chars were quite nice and useable.

However, this seems to have been balanced by the reintroduction of dual leech rings. I've gotten three of them in the past 2 years with not only good dual leech 4-6% (2 and 3%, bleech!) but also high dual resists and another good stat, like +14 str! I equipped two of these on my martel barb and he really rocks.

I found a 2% / 3% leech ring. But out of the other 30+ rings I've found, I haven't seen anything higher. Anyone know a cap on the rare dual leech percentages?
