Ugh...TPPK

Just got my first taste of TPPK...

Came back to D2:LoD two weeks ago. Leveled up a HC sorc and MF for a week to get some basic items to start a HC javazon. Traded all my items for my perfect MF and resist javazon gear, trying to get to a high level before school started. Entered a Baal run at 80 and died five seconds later.

Now I had done research on TPPK before playing. I had survived three attempted TPPKs, but this was different. Usually, how I see it happen is the TPPK'er starts shooting multi/fireball/spike whatever through a player, then instantly TPs and hostiles while the projectiles are in mid-air. This sorc teleported ON TOP of me, casted a spell from point-blank range (so close I didn't see the spell) and instantly TP-hostiled me. The TPPK was so quick I was dead before I had heard the hostile sound. There was no way to escape like in the previous attempts. 1200 health, 75% cold resist, ravenfrost ring.

Ugh...I don't know what to do now. If you can't beat'em, join'em?

Just avoid them. Don't play in public baal games!

Whatever you do, DON'T join them. you know the hollow feeling it left you with after they were done with you. These people don't need your help!

he probably used tstorm. Thunderstorm attacks via tppk as well.

Once you hit hell games. you should not be pub running baal. even in nightmare i don't pub baal run if there are sorcs zons or neccy's higher than 60. regardless of my lvl.

Nah I asked him afterword. He explained he was a complete cold sorc with as many points into +cold mastery as possible. Pretty sure it was Ice Blast that he said killed me.

You aren't the only one. That same guy killed my lv.80 druid just a few days ago and a few more from other players. All in the same way: bots for diversion, TP to Throne, hack to avoid delay, insta-gib. What did we learn from this? The game needs patching, some people need to be banned, and while waiting for the previous to happen: we need to stick to invitation-only matches. ;)

So what classes can TPPK?

From what I've seen:

Cold sorcs (ice blast)
Fire sorcs (fireball)
Zons (Multi)
Throwing Barbs (javelins)

What about Necro's bones spear/spirit? Or Zon's guided arrows? Anything else?

Literally any projectile that stays after someone TPs to town can be used to TPPK, it's just that some spells/attacks happen to be much more effective.

Assasin (possibly Shock Web and Fire Blast, but I'm just guessing)
Amazon (Guided, Multi, possibly LF and CS)
Barbarian (thrown weapons)
Druid (Tornado, maybe Moulten Boulder)
Necromancer (Spirit/Spear/Teeth)
Paladin (thrown weapons, i.e. not Blessed Hammers)
Sorceress (just about any directional spell except things like Meteor, Blizzard, Hydra, Inferno, IIRC)

Fissure druids can also TPPK.
