View Full Version : PC Wizard Help Plz?
Am just wanting to know if someone could help me with a few questions on how well this computer I got will run D2 after I delete some things. Its pretty full right now but I am basically gonna clear the whole thing and start over, music files take up way to much space.It normally has a 40 Gig Hard-drive but again, there is lots of music!
These are my specs before I delete stuff :
AMD Athlon XP 2400 + 1.99 GHz Processor
512 MB Ram
231.31 MB Availible Physical Memory
2.00 GB Virtual Memory
1.96 Gb Availible Virtual Memory
And for Video RAM I gots a GForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
64.0 MB Memory... Will this run it ok?

Aside from the lack of available Harddrive space... your computer will rock Diablo 2. The came was designed like 6 years ago, when processors of 1 GHz and 256 megs of ram were teh leet.

Will the game even install, or will I have to wait until things are deleted? and do you think the low HD space will cause there to be lag?

No, the game will never install.
it requires about 2 gigs of Harddrive space on its optimal setting, and since you have about 0.2 gigs of Harddisk space available... its just not going to happen.

5 Gigs should be plenty, especially if you don't copy all the music files off the cd. Which I doubt you will do, since it isn't required and you are obviously having space issues.

The thing is that I don't need a super uber computer, because I know it isn't a huge game and doesn't require so much computer requirements to run because of how old it is, and this computer was new 2 years ago, so I know it will run it fine, and I now have the room to install d2 as now I have 20 free gigs of space, so tomarrow, I am more than likely going to start playing. So if anyone wants to start some untwinked chars or something then lets get together!
