Some guy gave me a bunch of items. King Leoric's Arm. Let me see, an IK maul. And some other odds and ends. I wonder. Should I be noob enough to take these gifts from a high level hardcore player? I am worried about duplicates. Any advice? This is also why I don't trade. :undecided:








It doesn't make any sense to duplicate anything in a video game. Any of you know if there are indeed duplicates floating around the Diablo II world?

There are indeed duplicates in Diablo 2.

The Arm of King Leoric, and the IK Maul that were generously given to you are deffinetly NOT duplicate items. Nobody would bother to ever dupe something thats found so often.

Which sort of answers the why part of "why he gave them to you". Items like that pop out when you're mfing enough that they actually become a nuisance. It seems wrong to erase them, but there is probably already 1 or 2 copies of each on a mule, and so they get given away.

Generosity isn't something that is often seen on BattleNet so I can see the reason for the skepticism.

Items which does not hv any value are not worth the trouble to dupe them. Tats why u see tons of hr floating around.

We used to make Iron Golems out of IK mauls just to clear the mules.

I told you all that online.

They're just common enough (well maybe not that Arm of King Lerioc, that was a good one) for him to give away. Especially considering the gear he was wearing. Now that guy did have dupes, just because for some of those runewords you have to get high runes that aren't dropped often enough for him to have legitametely.

IG's from IK Mauls are very nice as they take the properties of the items that are used to make them. 50% CB is a nice trait and works nicely on Hell Baal.
