There's a group of us that have gotten tired of waiting for the ladder to reset. We're going to try a little untwinked group play until then. Here's who we have so far. Come join us. We're starting tonight. Just give one of us a whisper if interested. We're mostly more mature, older players - and looking for more of the same.

All right, good night all. We made it too about level 22/23 and we're half way thru act 3. I forget who, but someone even scored a gull dagger in act 1. Much to my surprise we actually didn't have enough paly's. Hopefully we can get a few more next time. I think it will speed up from here.

I'll be doing some MFing with my main acct (*jak3676), but if anyone wants to do some untwinked play, just give me a yell. If we have any new commers, I can try to get you caught up with the rest of us too.

Looks like the game rolled back to before I got the kurast bazaar WP :sad2: on the bright side I got a much better ring from ormus this time around.

For anyone interested, we've started a group for completly untwinked play. This means that we only use the items that we find ourselvs. No trading outside of the group. Whatever we find, we share within the group. i.e. you find a +2 barb skill amy, but you're playing a paly - then you just give it to the barb in the group. Everyone shares items and tries to improve the group. You may not trade or recieve any assistance from outside the group - even from your other "normal" characters.

It's a slightly more challenging playing style, but its more fun because its a team effort and the group play is enjoyable. We try to distribute items in such a way that it will benifit the whole group the most. When was the last time, you got excited about finding a gull dagger or a sigon shield? Then you gave it away! Collectively, one of our team goals has been to build an insight polearm to help all the casters in the group. Somone finally scored a sol rune, so now we're all trying to find a 4os pole. Its amazing some of the things that can be difficult.

There's about 8 of us so far, but we normally get about 3-5 together at any one time, so there's some room for more so far. In particular, we don't have any paly's yet, so all the paladin items we're finding have been wasted. We're mostly older, working professionals so we're mostly on nights and weekends. Yes, we all have several other char's well into the level 90+ range. We just thought this would give us a new challange and something else to do. It's kinda like starting out as a new player again, or like playing over just after a ladder reset. The original idea and most of the discussion is happening in this thread. I've just posed here in the main channel so more people can see what we're doing.

Fair warning - you will not become godly or anything like that here. The whole idea is to build a strong team capable of beating the game, and to have fun. Come join us if you want.

I should say that so far we're all still in normal, although a few of us have been doing some baal runs lately - so we're just getting ready to move into NM. I know we still have several people that weren't on the last few days so some people are still in act 3 or 4. If you are just thinking about joining us, this is still a good time. We can get you caught up to us fairly quickly, and we even have some items muled.
