Cuckoo PK'ers trying to take over USWest

In the past 2 months an abnormally large number of bored high level players have been entering the cs runs and walks on our realm and trying their best to wreck them. It's gotten worse than the lag ever was this summer. You really cant go long without one of them coming in and endlessly trying to ruin the run. And they are setting traps.

A lot of people falsely thought that the reset was going to happen last week. Unlikely it will happen soon since Blizzard just a few weeks ago started a thread over on battle.net about what we would like to see in the next patch. Patches and resets tend to go strongly hand in hand. Mass bannings and patches/resets do not have a strong association. The recent mass banning and the date of Aug 8th got people thinking that another reset was coming. Some are bored, not interested in leveling and are just pk'ing now.

A typical pk is one who starts an innocent game like 'rwalk 02' and joins with a barb or pally to make the game look competent. They open a tp next to spawn area of Infector and then hit the seal and then take another tp back to town and wait... They even load up the waypt with tons of monsters. They instantly party anyone who enters the game, and of course, the innocents take the tp. If their victims go down to river to recover corpse, they in for another surprise. These people are doing this game after game, hour after hour, day after day, week after week...get the picture, this is how they play the game. These kinds of ppl have existed since the first few months of d2, but so many on such a small realm in classic are ruinous.

A lot of new players, noobs if u will, are falling for this and not understanding why lvl 87 and 90's are doing it, since they might be only lvl 65. I can tell u right now, if i went for the first time into the hardest part of HellGAte London or GuildWars and faced endless encounters such as this, i would find another game to play. It would be a real waste of hundreds of hours of slowly getting good enough with my chars to try Hell.

Rumor is that one of them was specially banned last week and has restarted her ways on another account (yes, this is a female). One of those who parties with them is #1 on overall ladder USWest softcore. Most of these ppl sit in a fast cs channel which I do not advertise or name. They try very hard to laugh derisively at any player who does not follow the 4-5 uber cookie-cutter builds, and especially try to be really hard on those high levels who choose not to enter their circle of cs games, channel, etc... almost NONE of these people come to this forum. The day of the banning, i visited their channel and the operator was talking about those friends of his he had given maphack to and was worried whether they had been banned. Years ago, i used to be intimately involved in regular cs runs and found that about 75% of them used mostly duped equipment, that was in non-ladder. These are not quality people.

I havent heard of similar events on other realms, but do know from the lack of USWest people here at this forum, that something sucks on that realm. True, this game can be quite addictive, but at some point certain behaviors indicate a sickness of mind...

What I did see was that on nm cs runs there are Sirs and Dames who are fukkin up the game, they hostile and try to kill each and everyone in the game and they are quite good at it. (f.e. a lvl 87 pvp dame :S) But they cannot go to hell so I did not encounter them anymore. And then again, u always have such lamers on small scale.

It is very difficult to get much past lv 72-75 in classic nightmare and this is if you specifically run cs over and over again. I usually have a mf sorc that runs diablo in nm at the start of a ladder to gain basic items, and highest i have got to is lv 72.

I would guess they are using another character to spy nightmare games and joining them with the high level character.

But, yes europe seems to be very civilised compared to what Fearlessone has encountered on US West. Although i only play Hardcore at the moment.

A level 87 Dame. Now I haven't leveled my level 63 Sir lancer since 1.09, but even that was already going rediculously slow in 8 player nm games(if there where any). I have a hard time believing somebody gets to level 87 in nightmare in classic.
Perhaps they are just claiming to be sir or dame. Or mebbe you meant to type 67. That I can believe, since I only leveled my lancer in the river, to avoid ever getting the last quest.

On Euro, we do have the occasional wannabe that tries to disturb a CS game, but nothing serious and mostly incidental. I guess some do it for the chalenge of taking on groups of 6 or 7 people who might be well equipped and could do serious damage.

In regards to Liz's post below. Simply unbelievable. They can't have done that on rivers and CS's alone. Cows maybe ? Opening cows with another char and just cowing all the way ? If it is possible to make a 88 dame in one season, then a 99 with Hell CS's should be possible aswell, shouldn't it ? But how many bilions of 8 player nm games must they have done with her ? Most of my chars don't even make 86 on Hell CS's, let alone 88... on nm...

Any idea's how they did that ?

Wow why would anyone level a dame that high unless it was some sort of a challenage or something.

Or on a slightly less generous note, could have been a bot running nm diablo for items.

On a quick check solo in 3 player game you get about 20,000 exp for clearing seal bosses and diablo, interestingly enough only 3k of that was from diablo himself.

Lol even at level 91 you get 10k for clearing the seals and D in 3 player game.
At level 93 you get about 5k.

Highest Dame (Countess on HC actually) I've seen was 83. What the christ is that person doing getting 88 in nightmare... I've seen level 59 no title 1.1 HC too.

As for the PKers, start kicking their *** back. Don't join random CS runs, and if someone is sitting in town don't take their tp.

I seem to have a following of idiots who love to quote anything I say on these forums. These same people claim my 92 sorc was banned for maphack, which shows how much they know.

certainly don't be the first to hit a potentially hot TP of someone you don't know.

and if you have a core group of folks that are able to cs, and you find yourself invaded by someone trying to pk/disrupt simply whisper the other party members to join an undisclosed channel for private cs runs.

if you're of a level where you can't really kill/contribute in those cs runs, and are there to leach/jack drops then you really don't have a ***** if the higher levels get bored with doing all the work and having you get most of the benefit :)

that being said, generally, if you feed a troll they'll keep chasing you. if you disappear to areas unknown, they'll move onto other games.

Good advice goomba. I've already started a private op channel where peeps can get together for private runs, or fill up a run so fast, the pk'ers cant get in, unless someone leaves of course.

We had some of our best players go to USEast after 1.10, they heard the quality was better there and they joined the SteelWind Knights clan.

I've had to delete 4 out of 35 accounts on my season#3 f lists in the past 2 weeks, all are people who have only played a year or so and all were added early in the ladder. In a normal year, i delete one person from that list.

Last nite I told the people in-game about this thread and that I had said that some of these pk'ers are mentally unstable. My best friend there said: "Some? I thought they all are..."

A Dame, like we are discussing here, cannot get into Hell. A Lady can.
Dame/Sir titled characters are stuck in nm and normal.

A no title char, like Zodi mentions, has no title, so has not completed normal and thusly is stuck in normal. To get one of those to 59 is... madness, but gg. :)

that's someone using a bot. Slaaf means Slave in dutch, and there's only one reason a dutch guy would name a char that... he's running it as a slave. Just run the damned thing 24-7 in NM on something easy and reliately xp rich.

If that char is banned, then it's for sure.
Most of the people who go for very high level non hell chars tend to go HC.
It's pretty lame to have a bot level the char for you :evil:

I don't think, although I can not know for sure, that she leveled through botting. Next to that she isn't banned, just saw here in the channel. But I didn't want to hijack the topic, so let's stay ontopic :)

Hillarious nooblar last night. I was in a riverwalk03 game and we were all partied and half of us were at the river wp already. I saw a barb (who was red, non-partied) tp to the wp, bo himself and dissapear. I immediately thought "nub PKer" so I started 10k hammers. Sure enough the hostile icon appeared and the barb popped back in with a ww. As his ww ended, he got caught in the face with a bunch of hammers and died. His body barfed up an insane amount of cash and then hiccupped another small pile of cash! And because of party share money, we all got some of the pot.

Oh man, I must have laughed for a good 2 min... it was great.

Good to hear an actual experience concerning the topic of this thread, it was hijacked by some who wanted the dope on how to be a Sir or Dame or such and get to lvl 88.

In the past few days, we have experienced another outburst of pk'ers. The last time was when they expected the ladder to reset and it was what-the-heck so lets pk the cs walks. That finally ended because everyone banded together and wiped them out, Jiggy included, my necro just became evermore proficient at his lvl 20 CE. The hot (trap) cs tp ppl are back too, but playing, not pking, in regular sora cs games. The team pkers are the worst, esp when they have a bo/ww barb and a hammerdin or bone necro, or blizzard sorc. But they can be defeated! And teamwork is the way.

Why the latest outburst of pk'ers? I don't know. Is this spring break week in Australia? But they have been weak, ez to kill off. And now you have so many barbs who can't fight, they just pop. One told my necro last nite to stop using CE! it was ruining his pops which is ok to say for the seal bosses. Then he departied and tried to do deSeis alone...right.

One new op channel, op cswalk has ppl going in and out of it from evening till about 3am western U.S. time. We've had 6 ppl once! and 4 last nite for a minute. Anyone can enter anytime, except those who mess up walks and u know, are arrogant and snide, and are there to hijack walkers into the worst of the sora (fast) cs games.

One new op channel, op cswalk has ppl going in and out of it from evening till about 3am western U.S. time. We've had 6 ppl once! and 4 last nite for a minute. True, true, however I've had bad luck as of late finding anyone in the chan. I've visited the other chans just to see who's there, like op rawrs- and op jj-, but it's usually kids who think they're the badest dudes in the realm, so I don't stay longer than to just glance around.

No, its usually empty, I would hit the ceiling if I joined and saw more than a few peeps there. Two months ago, when first made, I told a friend to come to the channel. He is somewhat new to diablo and didnt know much about channels except the ones you're automatically directed to. He said: "Who comes to this channel?" and I told him "You're it."

Its funny when I bring the sigons-looking avatar from the *cswalk acct there, wielding the platinum plated maul. He looks scary and I try to play the role: "Rule #1: don't ask questions about this channel"
