Hey,

Well I was just fooling around on my holy shock paladin in normal chaos when a friend asked why I didn't level him up higher. Of course I said that since in Hell the monsters res. are too high for the build to be viable, I realized that with Infinity it might work.

If I put Infinity on my act 2 nm merc would it work like it does for a light sorc? Also if it does has anyone tried this before?

Why wouldn't it work the same?
Many monsters get their lightning immunities broken by infinity, so you'll notice it is possible. However, they still end with somewhat high resists from time to time, so some backup attack can never be wrong.
But yeah, it will work. You just need some patience with some monsters.

Another way to encounter this is to use dual-dream helm-shield, and have the conviction aura as your active one. This allows you to boost it up to far higher level than the conviction from infinity, resulting in lower resists for the monsters.

But well that technically would not be a tesladin, if using dual dream.
Another way to slightly up the damage is to to use Cresent Moon RW as well or use a runeword like Beast to boost the physical damage of your char.

True, true.

Actually, crescent moon is the top pick for you if you go pure lightning damage. -35%lightres speeds up killing on any monster you can break immunity on, and ITD cant be wrong in pvm...
Beast makes you more versatile though. Botd is not wrong either, but you wont get a fancy fana aura or crushing blow.

Sorry, but that's rubbish. I have a Telsadin and he's doing just fine in Act 3 of Hell. And I play Vanilla SP, so Infinity is kind of out of the question. For LIs I simply switch to Holy Freeze and let my Physical damage and Crushing Blow take care of them - and there are quite a few of those in A3 Hell.

Infinity would work with a Tesladin, but the build is viable without it. You just need to change your tactics when you come up against LIs.

Obviously there are other versatile weapons like Heaven's Light !

With a boost to +skills and crushing blow it might be what u seek. :D
