Zeal Merc Equip

Hey,

I was wondering what the best of the best merc, and equipment would be for a Zealer.

I had a quick look through the guides but couldn't find anything... Thanks.

Maybe a holy freez merc from act 2 with, ebotd war pike, fort, and andy's helm. Im not too sure but noone seems to be posting in the paladin forums. Your merc would do alot of damage with that stuff, plus holy freez is fun.

if you want your merc to be there just to boost your abilities, then a Might merc with ethPride pole = three +dmg% auras = superpowered Zeal = very dead things. AFAIK all 3 of the auras boost Vengeance damage, so 1 point veng for a great PI solution. Although no weapon +dmg% on Pride, 3 damage auras + Fort + Andy's helm = high damage anyway. Try to get everything ethereal, as a bugged fort can = 4000+ def.

lv 17 Might (max for merc i think): +200%
lv 16-20 Concentrate: +285%-+345%
lv 20 Fanaticism: +373% your dmg, +186% merc
that's
+858%-+918% to your damage,
+671%-+731% to merc's.

If you want your merc to actually help instead of sitting there and glowing nice with all those auras use this setup (aka can actually kill stuff).

Defensive merc / Offensive Merc (if u use exile)

Eth Doom GPA
eth Fort / CoH / Duress ! Many good RW armors here except nigma. Upped eth Shaft is great too.
Eth Andy's helm, Eth Vampire Gaze or Tal Rasha's Mask.

well this is a nice combo as well:
guillaume's face helm: cb, ds, str, fhr
eth reaper's toll: ll, decrep aura which remove pi
eth fort

With that he can kill alone, you solve the pi problem and with cb help to kill the bosses faster.

Eth reaper's toll will keep overriding lifetap and that's like a death warrant.

Or better upped ETH honesudan with 1 amn and shael shael. ;)

they work together well, don't worry :wink3: ... I built with that combo a lvl98 zealer in season 2 and he never died because of that reason
