Summon Necro Merc Questions.

Im making a summon Necro with skills as follows
20-SM
20-RS
20-RSM
20-CE
1-Revive

My question is what merc and what should I put on my Merc to maximize my army's effectiveness as well as his. The main things I'll be doing is Baal Runs, maybe some key runs, and helping frenzy barb on uber runs. I was thinking of doing chaos runs but I don't think I'll want to keep reviving my act 2 merc if that is the way to go.

I can afford most anything....faith,doom ect..

Nightmare act 2 offensive(for the might), equip him w/ infinity(lower res also reduce def making it alot easier for your skeles to hit),guillames(for cb) and fort/eth shaft/eth duress/eth stone as armour.(i don't really know which armour, so i would wait for others to reply.)

Don't know if you have these skills already, but having at least one point in the following will help a lot during MF/ key run:

-Amplify damage
-Clay Golem
-Decrepify
-Dim Vision
-Attract
-Confuse


A Might Merc would be a general preference for most people. Infinity would be a nice weapon. Vampire gaze/ Andy's helm/ tals mask would be good options. For armor: CoH, Leviathan, fort, shaft would be nice.

Having used both Might and Thorns mercenaries, I can say the Thorns mercenary is far superior. You kill much faster and it's the only aura that makes necromages dangerous.

The only exception is if you are rich enough to afford Bramble. Then I would go with a might mercenary and stick Bramble on him.

Infinity is a total waste on this mercenary. First, skeletons never have problems hitting unless your level is too low. Second, mage damage isn't good, so adding another low% isn't going to help much. Either give him a ton of crushing blow, like Hone Sundan, or a lot of damage, Bonehew and up.

You have more choices with armor and helmets. This can be anything you like. If you have a budget I'd spend the most on the weapon.

Whatever you choose, I'd recommend against putting a lot of MF on your merc, since he won't be making a lot of kills if your army is large.
