View Full Version : Help! Give me your One-Hit-Wonders...

Well, not necessarily one-hit-wonders. I'm downloading music, and I want to hit all of those mid-90's songs that I might've loved but might not remember. I'm talking the cheesy pop/rock stuff. "Story of a Girl," "I only wanna be with you," "Sex and Candy"...that kind of stuff. Although, if you can come up with other lesser-remembered songs from the late 90's or early 2000's, and the song's worth it, please...feel free. Thanks all.

That list is crap. A one hit wonder had exactly that, ONE HIT. The top name on that list TLC had many top hits and are even listed multiple times in that list.

Well actually I guess that list gives him what he wants it's his title that is goobered up. sorry

Wasn't there a VH1 countdown of that sometime ago?

Here it is: Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders (http://www.vh1.com/search/search.jhtml?searchtype=show&searchterm=one+hit+wonders)
The results are there; just click the 5 of them that lists the top 100 countdown...ignore the rest of the results.

Smash Mouth had one or two hits, but nothing big. I think it was All Star and I forget the other one.

I never really keep up with radio.

thanks for all the help. Those lists are excellent. My first idea was to try and get song lists for all of those generally horrible "varied artist" compilations. You know, the "Rock Hits of the 90's" or "NOW! That's what I call music" stuff. But, alas, getting an entire list of all of those was too difficult. Billboard might end up being my savior.

I'm guessing you mean "All I Want." Another possibility is "Walk on the Ocean."

Fall Down, Something's Always Wrong, Come Down

Those 5 would be the ones I label as the best known/highest ranking singles. None of those are my faves for the band though.

I'm not going to be any use because I always confuse the late 80's with the early 90's. And I'm probably wrong about which songs are and aren't one-hit wonders.

But I suggest Can't Touch This by MC Hammer and Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot.
