Ubers Smitar Palardin help plz ^_^;

So I was originally planning to be a barbariun to halp my friends smitar but seeing him lately in uber trist runs I realized his smiter is kinda lame and that we probably need to rebuild him anyways so I'm gonna be the smiter and he's gonna be the babo.

Anyways, here's the gear I got layed out:

HoZ Zak shield (Exile???) Um

Laying of Hands

So pretty typical, max smite, fana, holy shield, defiance. Other points I'll think of something fun on my own to do I guess.

So first off is the gear gonna be good?

Hoz gives 72 res, fort gives 27, anya gives 30, Um Gaillaumes gives 15, Crendendum gives 15, and a Torch gives another 15ish (would have to get a pala one). So I'm sitting at almost max res all which wont really cut it will it? I'll have absorb and LoH will give me good fire res pretty much, Natures Peace will give me good enough poison res too. Lightning I guess I'll need charms, but would my res be good enuf to dump HoZ and go with an Exile???

Don't forget that last wish can cast fade. so your resist will be added on top of it.

You're already exceeding the CB cap, so Guillaumes isn't really necessary. You can decide to wear a CoA instead. HoZ would be preferred for Ubers, since the resists are very helpful, and defence/ lifetap on Exile are superficial, considering that your defense will already be high, and LW will grant a lot of Life tap already.

You won't be leeching much so there is no reason for Andy's Ugly Visage. Shako is good for the stats and life boost but stacking resist is always better. (Go go perf Kira)

Smiting mephisto without resorting to Salvation is a very BIG bonus.

Hmm... I completely forgot Rockstopper. Go for it; nice resists, stats, and DR =)

I would definitely use Um'd Kira's instead of the Guillame's. Mephisto's conviction is -125% so that's a lot of resists you should be stacking. Highlord's....you don't need that at all. The Deadly Strike doesn't work with smite and the IAS is unneeded. The 20% IAS from LoH gets you to the fastest BP possible (with fanatacism of course). I would not use Fortitude. CoH would give you better stacked resists and your primary damage source is CB, not your regular physical damage so that ED% isn't all that needed. For this same reason, go with Goblin Toe instead of Gore Riders for more CB. Nature's peace is pretty useless for you, a Dwarf Star would suit you much better. As has been said by others, HoZ is more useful for the better resists.

If you use this gear I've mentioned you will have just over 75% resist all when Fade is activated even with Mephisto's conviction on you. You'll have 85-95% CB which is plenty. You would not need the Credendum for resists either, so you could go for TGod's instead for absorb/+max light resist. Also you wouldn't need a torch or Annihilus - it's more convenient to not have a torch so you can pick up the one that drops (and of course it'll cost you less).

Whats cap on CB? I thought it was 94%?

So which belt/amulet should I use if not crendendum and highlords? And if the +dmg from fort isnt necessary is LoH necessary either then?

There is no cap on Crushing Blow (other than 100% obviously).

For the amulet anything with +skills, +stats, etc. would be useful. LoH isn't necessary, but you do need one source of IAS to reach the 6 frame per attack break point, and LoH would work for that.

I stated in my other reply that I would use TGod's as the belt.

LoH would help in PvM if u zeal alot as well. Crendendum can be replaced with Dungos.

I know I'm only level 72, but I find I have no trouble killing Lily, Duriel, and the fat guy. Also no trouble killing ubers in tristram.

So I calculated if fade does cast I will have max res even under mephi's -125 aura so thats fine, my block is max, I have some absorb for fire and ice, and a tiny bit of lightning. Killing ubers and the key portal guys are easy. However I have huge problems with the mobs themselves. Specifically the ones usually surrounding Mephisto and the ones in Lilith's house. Was wondering if I should Ber my Guillaume's for a bit more DR, or swap Gores for Gobbletoes and then put on a Ber Shako instead of Guillaumes. The lost CB is only 5% but I gain lotsa DR and HP. Any advice on that, and then switching the belt to Dungoes? Tgods is doing jack all for me. Sure the stats are nice, but Dungoes can give like 40 Vita or so anyways so thats a wash, then the DR is like so much better than a puny 20 lightning absorb.

U are only lv72... gain a few more levels to up ur life a bit or get some 20life sc. Or if ur prob is ur life bulb goes below half too often. Maybe its a good idea to swap out LoH for dracu. This way, life tap is almost on all the time as long as u are always smite-ing away.

Sounds like your main problems are your lowish lvl and low life.Your chance to hit in uber areas will be low simply because you are so much lower lvl than the monsters there.
I wouldnt bother with dracs if you already have last wish the life tap on last wish is 10% ctc llvl 18 lifetap compared to 5% ctc lvl10 on dracs.Id say you would have noticed how quickl lifetap triggers already.Unless you want the ow from dracs Id stick with Loh for ubers 20ias 350 dmg to demons and 50fr will srve you better.
Seeing as your only lvl 72 your doing well to kill the ubers so Id just add all your stats from here on to vita.
Using gores and last wish should beenough cb for ubers.Switching to ber shako or jah shako,for a boost in life would be a good option imo.

Often when I do ubers Ill wear maras in there to start with and target meph first.Once hes done ill hop out quick and switch to highlords.

Any thoughts on Dungoes vs Tgods? Either way I save 40 stats points so thats even, but DR seems way better than the minor immunity vs lightning and absorb that I get.
