Pride is better on your merc, Beast is better on you.

No, use Infinity on your Mercenary. You'll clear areas faster if you are wearing Pride in addition to your Mercenary wearing Infinity, but Beast is safer.

IMO, infinity would be a better option than Pride, since Infinity will help lower resistance, therefore allowing CE to clear areas faster.

That's not the real reason you clear areas faster. It lowers opposing monster defense, allowing your skeletons to hit almost always.

both can work..beast on you...pride on your merc..=)...

you can also do faith/beast
faith/pride =)

At 30/30 RS/SM they have over 4k AR already. Should give them enough AR.

Beast hardly helps you as much as Pride or Infinity, but it definitely is the best one-handed aura weapon for a Necromancer. If you aren't willing to give up your shield-hand for a Pride, then use it. But don't go so far to say that Beast is more advantageous as Infinity.

We should do some calculations for these things to stop topics like these from popping up every few days. I recall several posts with calculations (TEH BONEZ and MR SKELLY come to mind) of these auras, perhaps they could be stickied?

I'm currently using pride, but I think i'm going to switch back to something else on my merc. Honestly, at lvl 46 skeles having 17 of them, I just don't see a huge improvement from pride from the insight I was using before. All I get is more lag (34 skeles w/auras + a merc and 46 revives if I want). Now if you can stand using beast and pride w/ all those skeles, by all means go for it. Unless you're doing ubers though, just stick with the less laggy route, it'll make the game go a hell of a lot faster.

Another thing with pride that pisses me off is the target freezing which makes opponent corpses unable to revive, makes the whole process go slower for the most part.

Me thinks we just got over this discussion in another thread less than a day or 2 ago...

My preference still stands, Infinity merc all the way. Id like to try equiping a Pride on myself, but the funds just arent there for him yet, Id also like to test Beast but frankly with my res already kinda low, i dont think ill be sacrificing the Hoto anytime soon.

Btw, a friend of mine uses a Pride merc (almost identical set ups between us). Guess who finished clearing things before him? :grin:

I'll dig around for them and put them in the sticky, but I know this will not end these kinds of topics. Most people have an inherent tendency to ignore anything in the stickies.

eh..but at least members can just paste the addy for the stickies =)....

*and infinity is nice..if you have mages i think...or want to focus on your merc doing alot of the killing...
