Looking for Poor mans zealot weapon

Hi

Looking for advice on what to get for my zealot on a low budget, atm all i have is a couple of pul runes. Currently my zealot is level 72 and using a lightsabre or baranars star, still deciding which one I like best, I can't afford a grief yet so was looking for something that I could buy for pul - um that is somewhere in between.

Are you ladder or non-ladder?

Of the two you currently have, I would go with the Lightsabre, just because it attacks faster, dealing out Crushing Blow faster, and has lower strength requirements than a devil star.

If you are on ladder, you could try for an Oath runeword. It requires a Pul and Mal, so that might be out of your range. My zealot is currently using an upped Headstriker. With my might merc, he reaches 3k damage. Not much, but at my level, Headstriker offers over 100% deadly strike, bringing me up to 6k damage. Add to that the Atma's Scarab I'm wearing, and I see 12k damage when Amp goes off. Not bad for an exceptional unique and a Pul rune. It's the best weapon I have used on my Zealot so far.

Also, be sure to have plenty of Crushing Blow to make up for your low physical damage.

Schaefer's Hammer Unique Legendary Hammer is also a good choice. it has CTC static field, and good damage.

Pul rune hmm, you can get a low Heaven's Light (USWEST) for that !

make sure u look for a Heaven's Light with 2 Os. Skills dont matter much, all u need is the 33% chance of crushing blow. :D

If all you need is the Crushing blow, there are several runewords/ uniques that grant CB.

if i could i would be sticking to the Gnasher hand axe only.

thanks for the advice, since I made this post I found a pnb gc with 12 fhr and traded it for 3 HR's so the budget just got a little better :cool:

3 HRs ? If you are ladder, grief pb is an option now :D

Grief would definitely kick the poo out of all those weapons listed above. Strap on a Guillaume's face, a pair of gore riders, draculs gloves, and PvM will suddenly become a walk in the park.
