View Full Version : 2 Player party - what pally?
I have found some gear recently that is good for a pally and im wondering what kind of pally you would suggest i build. I will play with a friend and thoughts on a good 2 player teams is appreciated.
Gear:
Seraphs Hymn
HoZ
Lionhearth
Death Cleaver (not sure if this is usefull for pally? other then that i got a Nords tenderizer, can probably get baranars)
Waterwalk
Guliumes Face, will perhaps get a shako.
Not sure about gloves, soul drainers perhaps?
Im thinking of a zealot maybe? Give me your thoughts.
depends on what your mate will be playing, because this will determin the aurea to use. Or the other way around. So I would start by asking him what he wants play and then try to make a good supporting build.
P.S. I might suck in HC, but I thinks this idea counts for all party plays always.

Sorc/Wind druid/caster class = Conviction
Barb/any melee class = Conc + BH

Amen, but Minion Necro aka caster would love Concentrate although Conviction works also as CE is 50/50 Fire/Phys.

You have your choice of mercs too.
Might + Conc + Holy freeze + Barb = Alot of things that are going to be too slow to avoid being clustered and WW'ed.
Might + conc + Fanata = Happy Bh'er and Zeal paladin.
Really depends on what your partner plans to play.
(Assuming the 2 would always be playing together) You could go Fireball/Orb. You'd only need 1 point in cold mastery (since it's -resis and not added list damage the pally would take care of the majority of -resis), could max orb, fireball, meteor, 1 pt. in Fire Mastery and then split the synergy for orb or more fireball damage. Have a lower resis wand on switch for even more -resis on an immune monster to break it.
FOH/Conviciton palladin.
Use an insight pole on one merc and a heavy damage pole on the other; holy freeze and defiance merc.
This would give you 3 elements of attack, eliminating basically every immunity and give you a strong physical attacker along with freezing everything and increased defense (like you'll be getting hit anyways.)
Your best bet is to build stand alone builds in case one dies, or one guy quits or gets bored with his build.
