I've never played with an IG much because I never had reason to want to. With this last build I've been centering my summoner around the IG as a secondary merc backup, skells are pretty much the meat shields.
My main question centers around how the IG skills are applied and hp across difficulties.
The IG is unique to the golem family as the only persistent summon unless the player dies, the golem dies or a new golem is summoned. As such this raises the question as to how skill points are applied to this golem.
Most golems, as well as the other summons, take on their skill attributes on the next summon. With the IG does it gain the properties automatically per skill point spent, on the next entry into a game, or only on a resummon (same as the rest of the summons)
Additionally, this would beg the question: Do the HPs scale per difficulty upon game entry or are the HP's based on the difficulty the golem was summoned in? This would be a handicap when going from Nightmare to hell, but would be a boon going from a higher difficulty to Normal.
I suspect that the golem hps scale on game entry, however I'm unsure of how the skill points are applied. It would be a shame if the skill points were only applied every time the IG is resummoned.
