View Full Version : Testing builds in SP?
I'm not sure if this is 100% legal since you need a 3rd party program but i will try to ask anyway.
I need a program that will let me create chars in SP and give them whatever items i choose. I have tried some program in the past but it was a long time ago and i remember that i never got the items to work.
Perhaps someone know of a program that is easy to use and doesnt steal your cdkey.
Thanks.

We arn't allowed to talk about that here. =/ Sorry...
As said above. 3rd party programs aren't liked around these parts, you should know that by now :sad2:

Everyone loves Atma, though.

Indeed, ATMA is endorsed, and the Singleplayer Runeword mod that allows realm-only runewords seems rampant.
Since I have no idea where such a program is, I would advise posting in the single-player forum, they likely can help you, even if it is with a pm.

Try here (http://www.google.com).

I personally wouldn't trust that link. Who knows what type of junk it can come up with. ;)
PoC - I doubt the SPF will help. We play sp to get away from all the junk and hacks. I understand the reason one might want to do this, but it is still used by some for hacking.
As to ATMA - it's a program that lets us trade items with our own characters. We could do this by having 2 versions of D2 open, or by open Bnet, but that takes a lot longer and has a risk. It allows us to do what Bnetters take for granted: trade between our characters.
Atma does not allow the changing of stats or skills, editing of item stats, etc.
Here's an example where it would be helpful to be on Bnet or have atma:
Ages ago, my assassin found a HoZ. Pretty pointless find don't ya think? It was a nice one too, but I kept it for its look. I've never found one since.
I am well aware of the fact that 3rd party programs are not discussed on this forum but my reasoning was that peolpe often talk about 3rd party programs in the SP-forum and since i only want a program that works in SP i thought it would be alright. I mean, it would be impossible for me to cheat on b.net i only want to test strange builds in SP before i waste alot of time creating them for real.

Ban Noob!!1!!
Basically, from what I've heard:
"What goes on your computer, stays on your computer."
If this does happen, most people from the SP forum won't mp/trade at all with you. If you are a b.netter, and only using SP to test this, then there's no reason to ask us about it.
Oh, and this is the HC forum, not SP, so I'm not sure where that's going. The SP forum don't give any help, nor talk about mods/char editors anyway.
I'd suggest a mod locking/deleting this, as most things have been said, and no help will be given.
Again, don't mean to be rude, but I'd prefer looking at a strat forum to see if the build has been done before. This is a forum and thus held by rules. Inquiring about a strange build would get peoples opinions, but hacks are never supported, nor help given for them.
I agree with shertown. Ban the threadstarter and burn the threadz0r!!11one
While I havent used it in awhile ATMA is msot commonly used in SP. There is a link on the front page of this forum to the host site.
I find the most fun is trying out the 'odd' builds for yourself while on b.net. It normally takes no more than a couple of hours of playing to decide if you want to continue it or delete.
Isn't that what the game is about? Role playing!!
I thought the game was about finding itamz and being ub3r l33t!
Man, was I wrong.
Yes! Yes you are wrong. The game is all about buying items off ebay and turning them into virtual bank. Who doesn't love having hundreds upon hundreds of ebayed sojs and high runes? No one mf's anymore pfft...
BTW, Winmar if you use a site called www.google.com you can probably find your answer. I don't endorse using 3rd party programs, but If it's for the good of science, then let thy will be done.
The above statement was lame, but I couldn't think of anything witty to say. Please bare with me, as it's 5:02 AM.
Thank you for your time.
