I was wondering how I can make a quality Wind Druid/Part Summoning. I was thinking about:
1 on Arctic Blast (only to get Cyclone Armor)
1 on Cyclone Armor (only to get Twister)
4 on Twister (only to add to Hurricane)
4 on Tornado (only to add to Hurricane)
Max Hurricane
1 on Raven (only to get Spirit Wolf)
1 on Poison Creeper (only to get Carrion Vine)
1 on Spirit Wolf (only to get Dire Wolf)
1 on Carrion Vine (only to get Solar Creeper)
3 on Dire Wolf
5 on Solar Creeper
5 on Grizzly Bear

The typical wind druid with a bear summon is:
cyclone armor
twister
tornado
hurricane
*all maxed
Then max oak sage and put 1 point into the summons leading to grizzly and 1 point into that.
If you want a more effective grizzly...then use the points from oak sage and use them for your grizzly...although you won't have as much life though. There's really no need to put points into solar creeper...you can find it in a pelt (unless your going to be using something else). Some even max dire wolves instead of grizzly because of the synergy it gives to it.

the downside with trying to effectively combine the two build types I feel is based on the fact that both require massive synergy pionts to be effective on their own.
as an example my windy (pretty much stock except for maxing griz instead of Oak) is currently doing around 1.5k with hurricane, and the only synergy of the 4 that isn't maxed is twister (at lvl 18 before +) I think all my +skills bring them up to around 30 or 31. And in hell this really doesnt do more than slow the monsters and distract them. My main killing potential is from the combination of Hurry and tornados.
Unfortunately, in order to increase the killing potential of your summons you'd have to take away from the hurricane damage, which isnt huge to begin with. Don't get me wrong, i love my Hurry and I think its a vital component to my windy's survival. It's just not really a killer on its own. Your summons might be able to make up the balance, but only if you really try to maximize their damage/life. that might mean maxing at least 2 of them, such as dire wolves and griz. between those two, a decent merc (I'd go for might to max their damage) and the hurry you might be able to balance your damage enough to make it. And if you just playing to enjoy it (like a 'who care about going into hell' type of build) go for it! I might try one myself, I've always wanted to try and have a summoner with some strengths in the elemental tree. I might hop over to teh skill calculator and see what numbers I can crunch for skills and let you know here. either way, have fun :grin:
