pvm curse/summon questions

regarding dim vision confuse and attract could someone gimme some info on what the best type of situations to use these in and the difference between confuse and attract? also is mages as effective as skeletons if choosing one or the other and dim vision work well with mages? also whats the best chaos runner summon/curse setup? thanks

Attract makes one monster the target of all other monsters. The other monsters will try to attack the cursed monster first and then other threats.
Confuse causes the affected monsters to attack anything in range, be it another monster or your minions, Merc or character.
They are similar in application and situational use. It boils a bit down to different durations, areas of effect and personal preference when to use one or the pother.

Mages do less damage and are more frail than Skellies. They can be very useful and you can make a good build with them. Dv in combination with Mages can work, if you use it as a crowd control tool. Mages need LR to shine.

One big difference that MM forgot to mention between Attract and any other curse is that Attract can't be overwritten.
This means you could cast Attract on a monster and then use Amp/Decrep/LR on all its buddies to up damage.
