View Full Version : Socketing Aldur's Rhythm?

Right To Bear

Hey there all. Maul werebear here:

20 Lync
20 WB
20 HOW
10+ Maul
10 Shockwave
1 Hungry vine, grizzly. pre-reqs.

I'm curious as to the community's thoughts on socketting Aldur's Rythm. I was lucky enough to pick one up recently with 3 sockets. I just wanted to get some advice before plunking something in there that i'll regret later.

I'm asuming 3 shaels would be ideal, but i'm not real familar with the game right now- I just picked it up again after a 4 year stint. As far as PVM goes, would I be better off going for 2 handers, ala ribcracker/tomb reaver/stormspike? I will only be PVMing in 3 player games.

Hello mister bear

3 sheals the aulders

Latter on do a 4 shealed grizz caddy. You will not be disapointed.

For PvM, 2 handers work really well. A shield really shines for blocking in PvP.

Try an upped ribcracker.

Thats not all ways true any more olwe. I know from personal expirnce that a 1 hander can go places a 2 hander could die in.

This is true but a smart pvm mauler can go almost anywhere and not die ... since shockwave is their #1 friend. I would personally go w/ ribcracker or IK maul or something that gives mass cb ... however if you use guilliums + gores + durress or something then a 1 hander probably would work just as well ... and you'd truely be a tank.

I was thinking more along the lines of hunger.

Good point - for some reason I was thinking of wolf, I don't really know anything about bears.

For my wolf at least a 2 hander has been fine for most of pvm. But since this is for bear I have no idea if that applies :D

It does by a little bit. Honestly a werebear should do better in hell hardcore. Then a werewolf. They would take longer to whip out large groups. But shockwave + mual + hunger should = never going to die. Like right now its a shock when my werewolf dies. I think it happened twice. Bolth times where when he wasnt fully built up. When rushing I have never seen him die.
