I've been playing diablo for quite a while. I once started out on version 1.9 and ruled with the once so strong ww-barb. I played many variations of each class and I have to admit that sorc is my favourite one.

Nevertheless times changed in 1.11. I saw someone mention that the Fury-Werewolf for PvM was slowly dying within the realms of Diablo. Nowadays its only use seem to be on PvP in combination with Rabies.

So I decided to train a Werewolf which should be able to run trough hell without to much troubles. Still I wonder if my build will be possible on hell, cause I decided the following:

20 werewolf
20 feral rage
20 fury
20 wolverine

And I will problably max Lycantrophy.

I will combine this with a might merc (no more holy freeze this time), to make his damage insane. The problem is, will he have enough life to cope with hell? Of course I can give him tons of charms which probably give him 1k extra life. Then its total will be around 2/3k I guess.

Another point is the 2h or 1/s question. I want my werewolf to have insane damage to take total advantage of might + fury, so I guess I stick with 2h. I also decided not to choose shield cause of its block-delay. In this case you may think you should keep dex at base or just enough for gear. I'm wondering tho if it would be worth it to place extra points in dex to get a high % change to hit. Cause a little bit of extra dex gives tons of extra attack raiting cause of werewolf.

The last point will be the gear. I got tons of good items, set as well as uniques. I think I shall focus on life stealing and high res. However, with fury rage I should already have enough life stealing, at least I hope.

The only thing I really fear tho is iron maiden in Chaos Sanctuary. Will it be worth it to place a point in hunger, so you practically steal all life back you loose or should I search for an elemantal weapon? And will it be worth it to spent a point in one the life stealing vines?

Just another question, what gear should you guys suggest? And how would you guys distribute your stat-points.

My current Werewolf is lvl 33. I just played with him and quickly finished normal, without spending much stat-points so far.

I'm not very experienced with a melee druid - I prefered wind-druid in the past which is lvl 80 - so any advice would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

He takes the saver route. I prefer damage over life.

Btw, you can combine feral rage with fury, right? He places points in hunger, like I already tought, but with a lvl 20 feral you get the same effect only with full damage. If you first build up your feral rage (within few secs its at top) and then use fury, you should have a fury with the feral rage its life steal, or am I mistaken?

And still nothing on the dex-question. I won't use ss, cause I dont like to loose time with blocking, but isnt it worth it to boost dex anyway, for the attack rating bonus (get huge with werewolf on)?

If you use a Storm sheild and have max block there wont be single melee monster pack that can kill you with just melee hit's.

If you plan on usin a 2 hand weapon just use enough dex too use the weapon , you wont need lot's of point's in dex for Ar since ar in pvm is not needed.

I've never made a pure 2 hander druid ... but i would think 50-100 base dex would be nice. Also if making a 2 hander pvm dont forget to get some fhr ... and again ... resist is your #1 priority not % damage reduction in pvm.

Also, to answer your question yes you can have feral on one button and fury on the other ... charge up ball o' feral then fury to get the ll/ar bonus's with your fury. However, if your taking the damage route ... i dont know if you really need to pump feral up ... I only charge feral when i think things might get messy and i get more or less all my life regained w/ one fury when i have feral charged.

Good luck in whatever you decide.

Welcome to the wild, wild world of wolves!

I'd consider maxxing lycanthropy before werewolf. The extra hit points are critcal to surviving. AR can be obtained from lots of sources, but more hit points are always better, plus it'll extend the length of your being in fur (I hate it when the timer kicks me out into human form!). Your HOW will help greatly in AR also. I've done okay with only 10 points into WW, but it's more of a personal preference type of thing. Having a point into summonables has proven very useful in my experience when soloing, less important if you're in a party (much less important when with a fishymancer).

Good luck and good hunting!
