Would anyone have a clue,why my online connection always disconnects when I switch the light on in my room???Have to restart my computer thereafter again.Hmmm.....

I have no idea why it would do that, but that's incredibly funny and weird.
Is by any chance your cable modem connected to a half-hot? My wife did that with her computer. She accidentally connected the surge protector to the half-hot and it turned everything off if you hit the switch.
