Well, some months ago i planned to do a fury druid, and Pumafang gave me some tips. I have been reading some faqs and doing some item research, and i finally got more or less what i want. But i still ahve a lot of questions about the game.

Im playing with a friend of mine in west and since we are noobs, we decided to first create 2 MF characters. IM a meteorb and he is a Necrosummoner. we are completing nitmare right now. Im gathering ekip and trying to complete this char before start with the wolf.

Im planning thid kind of char, basically for Pvm and maybe some pvp for fun(without ekips):
Str: 95+-
Dex:70+-
Vit: Rest

WW:20
Lick:20
Fury:20
and some points in feral, Oak and HoW...and the prereqs skills of course.

The ekip im planning to have:
Jalals
Draculs Grasp or magnus skin
Goreriders
Forti or nigma
Nosferatu´s coil or string of ears
Manald heal or angelic halo
A ribcraker or a BoTd

(All this is open to suggestions)

Ok now my questions:
First of all , about the ekip:
1-I have heard rumours that in this game some monsters tend to drop some items more than others. IN other games it work that way, but i tho that in Diablo the drop was random. If the case is that monsters have their drops...... i would like to know for example, which monsters tend to drop the Jalals or the Botd or the ribcraker.. or all of the ekipments above if possible.

2-I read that u can upgrade weapons with the cube. I has been hearing about upped ribcraker.. but in the cube forula it says that just ladder and single players can use this, im not ladder and not single, just normal battlenet.. so it mean ill not be able to up one if i get one?.

3-About the socketed weapons. Im have been saving the socket quest to sockect something in the future.. but i would like to know how many sockets the items support?. For example, if i get a Jalal, i would like to sokect it, but how many times i can do that?,
and if for example... it just support one socket and i try to sockect it again and fail, ill lose my socketing chance?.

4-What is the meaning of Ebot?

5-About the fortitude and enigma: I think i wanna go the fortitude way, altho both ar good armors. The question is, how i get them? and they are unique or what?. I say this becaus ei has been looking for them in the "Arreat summit" site and i cant find them in the Unique sections.

Skills:

6-About the skills, im thinking about which level of Lychantropy and which level of Feral is enough?. I have read that some suggest one point in feral is enough, but what about getting some more in it?, and what about Lychantropy?

7- The spirits: I was initially planning to get full Oak, but now im interested in HOW too. Some say that more life for a nonshield char is the way of defense.... but i noticed that HOW multiplies Fury the damage for some thousands . So i dont know which one is better....

8-I read somewhere that dire wolves could help in Hell, but, they are a must or ill get mobbed if i go alone there?.

9-And lastly, i would like to know how capable is a pure fury wolf of dealing with the Hell mode, uber monsters and so on?. Its worth the effort?. Ill always be with my pal since we are playing together and he will do a zealot, but it would be cool to know if i can handle them alone, or they are too tough? X_X

I go the 1 hand route with a IAS/dam jeweled caddy and Umed SS, fort, Umed jala's, verdungo's belt, angys rings and ammy, dracul's grasp, and gorriders so i dont know to much about 2h but I prefer the dam from HOW with 20fury,20WW,20lyc,20HOW, and the rest in grizzly I think but am not sure that mf drops go by % to find from you and % to drop from the enemy And my pure fury druid has np in hell all by his lonesome even in A4

1. Higher level monsters can drop better stuff - for the best odds on something dropping use the drop calculator in ATMA (atma.diabloii.net). By the way - nothing drops BotD as such - it is a runeword, which means you have to find or trade for the runes then put them into a six socket weapon.

2. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you have to be ladder or single to upgrade weapons. The Arreat Summit says that the recipes won't work with normal characters, which I think means non-ladder.

3. Uniques, sets and rares all get one socket from the socketing quest. Magics I think can get two, and other items will get the maximum for that item type. Look at the item pages for the number of sockets for the item types.

4. EBotD = Ethereal Breath of the Dying. Pretty much all BotDs are made in ethereal items, because the Zod rune in the runeword give the "indestructible" property, and ethereal items, whilst being unable to be repaired, have higher damage than their non-ethereal versions.

5. Look for Fortitude and Enigma in the Runewords (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/runewords.shtml) section of the Arreat Summit - that's also where you'll fing Breath of the Dying.

6. I think you should always max Lycanthorpy - more life and longer duration in wereform is never a bad thing. Feral Rage is probably good for one point, it's best used for adding life leech and attack speed to Fury rather than as an attack on its own (other people will probably disagree with me on this though)

7. With maxed Lycanthorpy, and Feral Rage going all the time, it's probably better to have HoW, because the leech from FR will help keep you alive. Maxed Lycanthorpy gives you +115% to life, more than doubling it, and with HoW, you don't need to spend as many points in Dexterity, especially if you go with a 2-handed weapon - no shield means no need to block.

Can't really help you with the last two though.

Hello, and welcome to the wild world of wolves!

8 - Dire wolves are not absolutely necessary. I actually like my bear, but it's a preference thing. Between my merc, bear, ravens, spirit; there are a lot of things to distract the enemy
9 - The Uber Tristram is very difficult. I have not been able to sucessfully run it on solo mode. Others have had success. I can run it with one other person, usually my Necro buddy. Most people run solo with a smiter or FooSoft ran it with a Necro solo. I'm sure that there are wolves out there that have done it solo, but I'm still having problems. In theory any character should be able to solo the Ubers, but some have more problems than others. The lesser ubers (Lilith, Durial, Izual) are all toast with a wolf, I've soloed them and done okay. Well, Lilith was a challenge, but Durial and Izual were pretty easy.

good luck and good hunting!

Well i think one of my concerns is the dammspirit.

I dont know which way to take. I know a lot of people rate highly Oak, but i would like to know why people think that How is that bad?

I know that wolves need the Hp from Oak but, how much How increase ur damage? is it worth?

i would like to see an screenshot of how much HoW increase the Fury damage. In the descrption it says that HoW increases your damage bu 125% or something like that.-...and IMO thats a LOT.

I have not tested it, so i Would like to know the opinions from the ones that know why supposedly How sucks!

please help!"
