how does Vigor work?--is it applied only to base RW speed, or to total includ. gear?

Hi Folks,

A question about Vigor. Though the Arreat Summit says that Vigor gives a bonus to one's "Run Walk Speed", the skill tab in game describes it as a "Velocity" bonus. The change in terminology strikes me as strange, and led me to wonder: is the speed bonus of Vigor applied additively only to my base run/walk speed, like any piece of gear with a FRW mod?--or is it perhaps applied as a multiplicative bonus to my total run/walk speed with gear included?

I don't know if I even understand what I just wrote. Maybe an example... A level 20 Vigor gives a 43% bonus to one's run-walk-speed/velocity. If I'm wearing Gores, which give 30% extra FRW, and running lev. 20 Vigor, then is my final run/walk speed calculated as: 100% + 30% + 43% = 173%?
or is it calculated as: (100% + 30%) x 1.43 = 185.9%

If it worked in the latter manner, then I would really consider wearing Enigma and loading up on FRW small charms to boost my total run/walk speed through the roof. (I play a Charger.) With Gores, Enigma (45%) and 5 SCs (3% each), the first method of calculation would only yield:
100% + 30% + 45% + 15% + 43% = 190%
while the second would yield:
(100% + 30% + 45% + 15%) x 1.43 = 271.7% (!)

Are these hopes in vain? Disabuse me, please, before I start seriously considering wearing an Enigma...

No, FRW from Vigor does not multiply your run/walk speed like an +%ED modifier would do to weapon damage.

That said, I may be mistaken and I may be just confusing R/W with IAS, but I remember skill FRW (Vigor, Burst of Speed, Frenzy, Feral Rage, etc) working differently than item-granted FRW. Somebody please confirm or deny this though -- I'm afraid I have gotten a lot during my long break from this game.
