One quickie: As sorc with a 5% manaleech staff. Will I gain mana using spells, or do I have to go melee and poke mobs directly?

Only physical attacks will leech, as a spellcaster an "insight" polearm for your merc is the best mana replenisher.

What does this mean (its a mod on the runeword shield Ancient pledge):

10% Damage Goes To Mana

Is it damage you deal to monster that goes to mana (mana leech), or is damage monster deals to you that is taken from your mana instead of you life ?

It means if you lose life, 10% of that amount will be added to your mana pool. The suffered damage doesn't get reduced by that.

Mana leech is good but as voorhees said mana after each kill is better unless u are a close combat like a pali or barb where it doesnt really matter

The damage goes to mana is really good in uber tristram, especially when Baal is hitting you with his mana-drain attack.

IE: You take 100 damage, with an item with "10% damage goes to mana". Your mana pool will replenish 10 points.
