View Full Version : Fireclaw: Aldurs Deception?

A friend hooked me up on East so I've been trying to start up a fireclaw agaaaaain... I have pretty much all the bare (bear :P)necessities except for the armor:
--with initial 15 strth+ jalal+anni+torch= +69 strth right there!

Valor is great, but the strth requirements are too high, and Enigmas pretty amazing but I just can't afford it yet so I'd rather keep my strth low for now, but then I realized Aldurs armor gives AMAZING bonunes since I'm using the boots too and for crazy low strth requirements! And it would give +20 strth so I can use my 'Hel' SS and jump right to that, its almost worked out too perfect to tell the truth hehe... I was just wondering why no guides ever seem to mention using Aldurs armor with combo 'cause besides the teleport, I'd say its almost better than just a Nigma. I mean, check it out:

Aldurs Deception

Defense: 746-857 (varies)(Base Defense: 446-557)
Required Level: 76
Required Strength: 115
Durability: 70
+300 Defense
Requirements -50%
Lightning Resist +40-50% (varies)
+15 To Dexterity
+20 To Strength
+1 To Elemental Skills (Druid Only)
+1 To Shape Shifting Skills (Druid Only)
+15 To Vitality (2 Item)

and boots:

Defense: 39-47 (varies)
Required Level: 45
Required Strength: 95
Assassin Kick Damage: 37-64
Indestructible
40% Faster Run/Walk
+180 Maximum Stamina
10% Damage Taken Goes To Mana
Heal Stamina Plus +32%
+50 To Life
Fire Resist +40-50% (varies)
+15 To Dexterity (2 Item)

Not much more to say, amazing resists, strth, dext, life etc. That's all I was sayin' is just... besides losing +1 skill and teleport, it almost seems sorta a waste just using enigma 'cause you also lose out on a lotta other stuff. I know that since I'll be using dungos, bk/raven, magefists and shapes with a lotta lifeys for example that I'll deffinitely be falling a lil' short on resists so it seems like using Enigma anyways would leave you shy~a good 40 resist... but that's just my calculations, its all you guys' call : / Only thing else would be hit recovery-- well I have 50% on jalals plus I could shael Aldurs/Jalal too if need be but I'd rather just use bloodfists. =) god bless u lvl 9 gloves, god bless you!

I've made a complete Aldur's set FC bear and he turned out pretty good. He had around a 6 frame attack which is decent and hit for around 5 or 6k damage. The thing that impressed me the most about him though was the survivabilty he had compared to the rest of my FC druids I made before. All in all it's definatlly worth its price, and even if you want more expensive stuff still is fun.

Plus, your a glowing bear man, a glowing bear!

Works in pvm.
Don't try pvp.

I think he was just going to stick to 2 parts of the aldur set, so i think he'd be able to manage pvp ok. For a temp armor though(til nigma) theres always a Duress or Stone. Both offer great things for a druid (mainly the fhr and some other mods). As for the boots, hey, aldurs are indeed the shizz for boot choices on a fc, though waterwalks are greast (sadly though 20 less frw ><)

Hope my suggests help some :D

Ya just throwing out that I've actually found a use for complete Aldurs set (most useless imo) and I'm damn proud of it :)

that's so funny... I was actually planning on making a post in the future that... why not make aldurs into a fireclaw viable set, just because it gives all around great attributes, like the whole package I guess
and... the best part--GLOWING!!! yeah!!!

Yeah, Aldurs boots rule for fireclaw builds... but yeah, the armor actually seems to work out pretty sweet for its great overall attributes and low strth it seems = )

I actually have Goblin Toe boots on the side for Crushing Blow... yah know, just to speed up damage on those pesky fire immune bastards/bosses. I s'pose a Duress wouldn't hurt either but I'd rather just save the few good runes I have for now. Basically, I'll have pretty much everything except a couple shapes short and lifeys. I really only will have the cash for either a Nigma or CtA-- and no offense to any1 but I think I'd rather just go aldurs armor and get a cta instead at the moment = )

A shael shael shael Aldurs weapon is probably a not too shabby FC weapon to start with either.
