Ok, I have seen 2 good arguments for both of these armors. The question is which in the end will win over the other. All things being the same (except stats of course since enigma has strength built in) in this experiment meaning both chars are using the same equipment besides the armor. If both of these 2 chars stood toe to toe who would win?

1.)The enigma user with more life?
2.) The fortitude user with more damage?
3.) Or would it be a wash?

Alright, thanks for your input!.

if both are melee druids the forti user will win cause he has higher damage :wink3: with grief . Enigma is great versus casters though, thats why i still have both on my char, i just can't decide

Well, heres my thing with a 1 hander I noticed that my damage only increased somwehat about 800 ish on the top end and a few hundred on the bottom ( I am using ebotd, is grief better?). I heard that you can have like 11k life with a enigma build while its more like 9k life with fortitude. The 2k life wouldn't influence this at at all? Alright, stoute thanks for your input! Oh, and go into my charms thread!

Well like Stoute said, Fort is the melee armor of choice, but I think you need the run/walk from Enigma to help catch up to bowzons and some casters. Fort is a much better armor period for druids in general though since if you're shifted you can't use teleport. I've killed plenty of casters, bowazons, javazons, hammerdins, WW barbs, smiters etc... with Fort but I felt like some of them could have been handled better with a crazy fast run/walk.

My big thing is does 600-1000 damage (without pvp penalties and dr) really beat 2k life? You would think that 2k life would outlast the other druid (unless they get a bunch of lucky hits).

Huggie damage is king, dude.

But the fact is this. There is no such thing as the perfect armor. Inless you make it on single player using hero editer.

11k is only reachable when you are going for the non-block route i think. 10k life with eni is closer i think then 11k life with eni :wink3:

it really just depends on what you're dueling... i like enigma for sorcs/necros/ele druids, but i like fort for trappers/hammerdins

i would assume fort is better for identical druids dueling each other...
