I tried looking around for this but with no luck.
Any of you guys use Spirit over Hoto for your your windy? Sure, you lose one skill and resists but isn't the ton of fhr and mana on Spirit better?
Are resists (except poison of course) this important on this druid? I never really played one but i was thinking that since you have cyclone armor you could be able to go away with less resists.
Discuss please.

isn't the fcr bp diffferent when casting with a sword? just a question not sure ^^ that may be the reason no one is using it ;)

No i dont think they are different
On windy only fhr bps can differ, but it's not a case here.
You can go ahead with spirit if you're targetting 174 fhr bp. Otherwise I'd use hoto for one more skill, 10dex, resists and some mana boost. Also remembet that that little +1 skill adds to cyclone armour, oak and bo, which may turn into big tradeoff.

The +skill won't add to bo ;)
i think i will stick with the 99 fhr bp..I will use treks and probably shako so it will help me getting there. Otherwise i could use a very nice jalal's i have.

Silly me :wink3:

Nope, but I like to keep them high, sometimes you may not be able to recast ot on time, so they have their uses.

Hmm, so if i am able to keep the armor casted i can do fine w/o much resists..
I think ima go Spirit
+2 skills/22 vita/100ish mana/55 fhr
would be better i think than
+3 skills/10 dex/some mana/resists
Spirit also has decent resist. 35 to psn, lite, and cold I think.

Spirit in a shield, yes. Spirit in a sword, no.

Oops, my bad. :lipsrsealed:

In this case make sure you have 99fcr. Hoto has 40 and thanks to that and a lovely dru amu +19fcr I can wear my beautiful pelt +2 dru +3tornado. With spirit you need to wear fcr gloves, not bloodfists then.

You don't need to wear fcr gloves if you're wearing a spirit shield.
shield 35 fcr
sword 35 fcr
arachnids 20 fcr
Ammy 9 fcr
and you can still wear soj or bk.
If you opt for an SS it's stilll manageable too while wearing a nice pelt.
Spirit swords always look tempting just for the FHR which is somewhat huge but all in all the issue always comes down to FCR and the 99%/163% which IMO you want to be able to reach. 99% all the time/163% vs bone necs, etc. With a spirit sword 163% will not be reached unless you are on west using ___ gloves. I have found that the spirit sword, even though it is so tempting for the huge FHR, just is not worth it.
Spirit swords might be a good choice if you want a 99FCR/99FHR setup against melees.
still, you need the SS for duels (spirit shield only when going 163fcr), and with spirit you loose bloofists (+40 life) and +1 skill.
