i just tried ww with my first barb on classic with a great sword
and guess ive never felt sucha force in EXP the feeling of hitting like 20 time in one WW in classic with the most badass weapon compared to EXP were you almost need to you fastest ww bp to not getting killed due to noot hit target/no leech

*EXP ww = very slow
*CLASSIC ww very sick speed :shocked:

IAS doesn't effect whirlwind in classic.

And a Great Sword does crap damage, get a 220+ Executioner Sword.

still only lvl 30 thou :grin:

the feeling of WW in classic in hilarous i just love it
in EXP its just like original attack with a nice animation

I don't think I've ever used a barb on LoD... strange...

BOTD Ghost Spear on my zeal pally was fun, owned uber trist with it, 17k dmg :D

Think Dacian Falx does nice damage and has low reqs, think i got one that does like 170 damage, but anything over 100 going to be better than a great sword.

I'm pretty sure the best Whirlwind speed in expansion is equal to that of any sword in classic.

In Classic WW speed is the same for all weapons and it is allways at the max speed(highest bp) while in LoD, I think, even the fastest WW weapon still has some delays because it isn't at the highest bp.

yea thats exactly what i ment
its really much more fun to use it in classic than in exp becouse its so slow in lod
fastest bp in exp its not even fast enough to beat classic ww speed

its really as in the title "Cuts a PATH trough the legions of enemies" :wink3:

Ahem.. are you sure about that? I think max whirlwind speed in LOD and classic is the same: hit-check every 4 frames. (Before 1.03 it was every 2 frames.. :rolleyes:)

Maybe you're just hitting more because monsters have lower levels and it's easier to score a hit on them?

dont think so
im lvl 37 and im in nightmare act 4

and ww in exp is something completely different
