I was playing on d2 with 2 computer spammed a little on trade channel with 2nd computer. Got disconnected and when I tried logging back got the nastiest message ever. Your account has been closed.

The only 3rd program I use is name synergy and have nothing to do with diablo. it simply let me use same keyboard and mouse for both computer.

Only thing I can think is that blizzard is closing all accounts they might suspect botting (maibe I went a little to hard on the spaming) or if they find someone with a duped rune or whatever. Cause that account was holding my tradable runes and mf caracters.

Maibe its having 2 copy of d2 running on same ip, but I been doing this for 2 years now.

I never used mh or download program beside atma and synergy. Have baught all my d2 cd copy from store and have valid cd-keys.

If anyone can help me understand what happen to me, I would be please to have an answer.

Because I was curious on what it meant, I did a little google search. This is what I pulled up:

Why your account/cd-key has been closed/banned?

(1) Advertising an inappropriate website
Inappropriate websites may include sites that promote or provide game hacks, programs with embedded virus code, pornography, or other destructive or intrusive materials that are not appropriate on Battle.net.

(2) Spamming in a channel
Please be advised thatBlizzardEntertainment has an aggressive stance against any account that is used to spam a Battle.net chat channel. Spamming a Battle.net channel disrupts the normal flow of dialogue in the chat room and violates the Battle.net Terms ofUse Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(3) Attempting to obtain passwords
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account being used by someone to obtain or steal passwords or to con or trick users into giving out their passwords on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(4) Attempting to obtain CD-Keys
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account being used by someone to obtain or steal CD-Keys or to con or trick users into giving out their CD-Keys on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(5) Harassment of other users
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment does not support or condone the use of any account to harass or threaten other users on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. Harassment may result in the closure of the account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

(6) Inappropriate use of a bot
Blizzard Entertainment does not tolerate bots spamming chat channels or the use of bots to congest channels, which disrupts the normal flow of dialogue. This directly violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(7) Offensive or racist comments
While Battle.net is a mature environment, we will close accounts that are used to violate the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. We firmly believe that Battle.net's strength lies in its community, and racist or extremely offensive comments are not tolerated.

(8) This account was detected using a third-party program (hack) with one of our games on Battle.net. This account is now permanently banned
Any third-party program that is designed to affect the way the user interacts with Battle.net is considered a hack program. This includes seemingly harmless third-party utilities that work with the game to provide functions that were not included by the game designers. While many of these utilities might not have been created to disrupt the balance of the game, they alter the original design of the program. The detection of any such program by Battle.net may result in the closure of the user's account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

(9) Impersonating a Blizzard representative
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account used in an attempt to impersonate a Blizzard or Battle.net representative. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

funny Sd, I was simply spamming, looking for gmb faith lv13+ w* my account.

I guess whatever program looking to close people account simply looks for spamming people or something. even tho I see a lot of spam in the trade channel, more then I even was doing it at the time.

I guess that life goes on, ill just be even more impatient for new ladder now that I lost 1 third of my wealth.

Nah, that's not muted ^

If your CD key was muted, it would prevent you from whispering anyone
on battle.net at all, please note that you would still be able to
whisper people from in game however. You will also be able to receive all
whispers regardless.

I had a similar problem where I couldn't send/recieve whispers sporatically and asked them about it. It's now fixed though on my end

AAArrrghhh !
btw: As soon as I do not mention their names and stay under certain limit (tell me if i am overboard) . I have a question.
How do these items sellors work : Do they have a team playing to find runes, items and roll them, or are they just intermediate selling what some players on Bnet trade with them (or sell them for cash). Or do they dupe runes and roll ?

this is ot; but i imagine that they just dupe runes and use those to trade for whatever the buyer asks for. that would seem to be the logicalest [is that a real word?] and cost efficent way to do that.

So back ON TOPIC, it is funny that they go ahead and mess with someone who was spamming in a trade channel (isn't that all tha happens there anyway?) rather than hitting up any of the other dozens of spambots that annoy you in games.

Seriously, I recognize some of them by name now.

I got an account closed for advertising a site, and they closed it with same error (1), considering there's nothing on the site that breaks the rules, and it has 4 small thumbnails of a bare girl from the back not showing any genitalia, nipple/areoa, or anus.... i fail to see how that's pornography, it's not even softcore pornography... it's what you see at the beach....

this is bogus

Interesting....
This could be interpreted that their are Appropriate uses:shocked:

Maybe you were being sarcastic, maybe not, but there is one use for bots that is being tolerated, though not supported by Blizzard: chat room bots. There are some Op channels with bots moderating them, and from what I've heard, Blizzard lets them be.
