Looking for some amazon advice

Hey guys,

Its been a while since I last played an amazon (or D2 itself since prob patch 1.09) and am looking for some advice.

I want to start an amazon for PvM, preferably a bowazon. What I would like to be able to do is have a char that can kill huge groups of monsters as fast as possible and have some good crowd control (who doesn't?). What I don't know much about is any new eq or runewords that would help me out.

Any tips for build/equip?

Hi,

you will want to check the guides from the sticky first. For Bowzon, if you want to kill whole group as fast as possible, I would suggest multizon with Faith Bow (couple with Fortitude armor and might Merc). Otherwise, LF Jav Zon kill large group very fast,too.

You may want to compensate for your amount of gear by getting a high lvl Valk (17) to be a meat sheild, and even do some decent damage. A merc (holy Freeze?, and if you are on ladder, with an insight) will really help you, just try to equip him with high defense armor, and stuff with life leech, he doesn't have to cost a fortune.

Browse the runewords (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/runewords.shtml) and see what you can get, and want. Ladder? better to start on ladder..but new season coming soon, so i hear:listen:

Im currently lvl77 and are about to start in hell, my valkyrie has not died so far in nm and I clear the screen in 2 multis. I dont have all my gear yet though so it will be better. :) Will see tonight how it works in hell.

I use wf on my amazon and a act1 merc with faith bow, it's a really good combo also, only thing that can beat it is Faithbow+act2 might merc with +Concentration runeword, and its not by that much. Check this thread for that: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=293297
