I have a cleg barb that i was thinking would be better for fighting casters if i did something different than regular cleggers.
Gear:
114 life mask (3 socket mask 3 Perfect Rubys)
Twitchthroe (for up to wield cleglaws sword)
Cleglaws Sword
Cleglaws gloves
Deaths sash (Can't be frozen)
Angelic Amulet
Angelic Rings x2
Gorefoot Boots
Swordback Shield
Stats:
45 strength
Base Dexterity
All Vitality
Base Energy
Skills:
20 Swordmastery
20 Battle Orders
20 Iron Skin
20 Whirlwind
1 increased stamina
1 natural resistance
1 battle command
1 shout
Rest into Increased speed (Instead of shout)
Im not sure, but this looks like a basic clegger bvb build. If u want to fight casters and make a bvc, ur gonna need resists, which ur gear doesnt provide.
Also, if ur only gonna max either shout or iron skin and not both, im pretty sure shout gives a better defense bonus. For a bvb, this set up looks pretty good, for a bvc, which u claim to be making, its just not gonna work.

For BvC you will want a weapon with range. The Range 2 from Clegs sword probably won't be enough. It won't "cut it". :)
I know Wade, i would max Iron skin and then put the rest of my points into shout. Would there be anyway to improve the build among the fact that its a clegger and up it more for an advantage over casters? Or am i pretty much screwed when it comes to sorc. I can beat alot of sorcs already like 70+ because i cant be frozen, but i was wondering if the extra points into Increased Speed instead of Shout would do me any good?

Why would you put points into Iron Skin other then the 1 prereq for natural resists.
This will be a Barb vs Caster, right ? They don't need defence, they need resists and speed. Oodles of speed. You could choose to wear Iratha's belt, amy and helm just to get the 20frw gold bonus.
You don't really need that much AR, in fact, what you get from the cleg sword/gloves combo should be enough, so no need for Angelics, just wear some resist rings.
Bootswise, get something with 30frw, preferably resists and if at all possible, 10fhr.
I still wouldn't go for cleg though. :)
Bessides a Lance, I would use Iratha's gloves aswell to get the full set bonus.
In total, 65 res all, 20frw, 25 dex, 10 to each max res and some more things.
Oh, and indeed a hawkmail wouldn't be such a bad idea.
For a decent lance i'd have to do to much modding to my strength, and my dex i think. Im doing good with what i have right now, ill stick with the clegger and i'll create a bvc seperately lol. Question, would it be better to stick with gorefoot for the mana bonus, gives me about 4 WW before i have to be hit a few times to regen mana at 10 base energy. Or try and find some gtoes and an sback.

What level is your clegger now ? Cause you should be ok in the late sixties.
Well, for PvM offcourse.
Level 49, having a hard time finding Nm Chaos runs because im in hell. But all i need is Gtoes and an Sback and ive got all the gear i need. At about 64 i should have WW + BO maxxed out.

You could offer 500k gold for a swordback if you can't find it. There prolly are people that have gambling habbits to feed who find them all the time. :)
And the same goes for the gobs. If that doesn't get you what you need, try upping it in increments of 250k Note that at the 1 Mil, trading will be more difficult, since you'll need to trade the gold in 2 transfers.
Do you have any other chars that can hold at least 750k (level 75 at least) ?
As for your mana, Gorefoot should be enough, but you could add a manald or other ml ring for now while leveling if you happen to find it.
I had the same idea to make a Speeding Clegger at one point, but the fact of the matter is that you're going to be very disappointed with it's performance. Clegs on a Barb should only be really used be used only for BvB, not BvC. Go for an Exe, and stop using junk gear if you're going to make this Barb a BvC. Also, just shoot for 13 Speed, rest Nat Rez. With BC, you'll make the 40 FRW cutoff while having more some Res to boot.

Hm that build looks awfully familiar :prop:
I don't have any other classic characters but my new healer pally and my clegs barb. And i usually don't have any gold, and when i do i just leave it in the blood moor if i die.
