stupid problem help

when I log in in my character screen it says "Your connection has been temporarily restricted from this realm. Please try to log in at another time" what is this?

If you log in and out too fast, or spam in the chat rooms, or enter and exit the game too quickly, you will be flagged and banned from the realm temporarily.

Sometimes its 5 minutes, sometimes 30. Basically, don't hit esc so quickly. Use the 5-second rule: 5 seconds between every action, such as logging on, choosing character, entering chat, entering game, etc. This will keep you from being banned.

Don't panic and think that you're _banned_. You're just shut out for a little while. It's supposed to protect against bots.


If you're on dialup, you can disconnect and then reconnect to log on again.
When you do, though, stay in a game for a while or else you'll just get temp restricted again.

Which is sometimes caused by bots ;DYes, but server strain is also caused by other issues. Bots also don't necessarily cause server strain.
