Got 3 questions I would like to get some answers and opionion on.
I am building my first amazon since I start playing again. Goals is that she shall have nice damage, really good valk to tank and be able to clean areas like chaos sanctuary in a 8player game good.

Gear:

Bow: Windforce (Shael), Faith bow on a act1 merc.
Gloves: Laying of Hands
Ring1: Ravenfrost
Ring2: Ravenfrost/manaleech/lifeleech (not sure here)
Belt: Razortail
Boots: Wartravellers
Armor: Fortitute
Head: Andariels Visage with 15% ias jewel. (may change, depends on what lvl Fana i get on Faith.)
Amulet: Atmas
Charms: 1 Amazon Torch, maybe some skillers.

This brings it to fpa of 7.

Q1: What do you think about ring2, how much mana and lifeleech do I need?

Q2: And what armor and bow should I make the runewords in?

Skills: All skills +3 with gear. These skills is for lvl85 if I counted correct.

Bow and Crossbow Skills
1 Magic Arrow
1 Cold Arrow
20 Multi Shot
20 Guided Arrow

Passive and Magic Skills
1 Inner Sight
1 Slow Missiles
17 Decoy (more life to Valkyrie)
20 Valkyrie
1 Dodge
1 Avoid
1 Evade
5 Critical Strike
1 Penetrate
6 Piece ( = 9 with +skills, add razortail on that = max pierce.)

Q3: What do you think about the skills, should I maybe take away some from Decoy and put in Critical Strike or some other skill? Or do even more changes?

All help/answers/opinions is appriciated.
Thanks in advance. /Johan *lemerok on Eu-sc-Ladder

q1) since you plan on using a lvl 20 MS you are going to need +10% mana leech. i suggest using a very high % mana leech ring/ dual leech if you can but mana is more important.
q2) armor fort: if u want to go for style, use wire fleece. since you are using a WF (str 134) you can even equip an archon. its up to you on what you think looks best. my vote is for wirefleece. make the faith bow in a crusadar bow. best dmg req wise. its gonna take ur merc awhile to get to 134 str.
q3) more pts in penetrate. more pts in critical strike. maybe 1 or 2 more pts in D/A/E. passives are how amazons kill and survive, dont neglect them. that being said, i think you only really need 1 pt guided unless you are pvp. you should invest in a skill that can kill Physical immunes (frozen arrow, magic arrow). lvl 20 multi shot is a bit excessive too. after plus skills you only need 15.

for skills:
-less in ga (like only 1 or 2 cuz it doesnt pierce anymore)
-less in multi - i looove multi, but i still wouldnt max it
-get strafe.
-maybe move some of those ga and ms skills to d/a/e?
theres a lot of controversy over strafe and multi, but in the end, you need both.

leech:
-depends on your damage. i found that my zon only needed 9 or so, even in hell.

just my $.02

Ok thanks for the fast replys, but as I understood I dont need things like frozen arrow since I get amplify on atmas? Or do I still need it?
And I read a long thread about penetrate and how it only needs one skill in it to be effective. Comments?

Maybe something like this after your comments?
1-2 extra in d/a/e
10 in base critical strike
max decoy
10 strafe?
18 multi (think that is what I already got)
more in penetrate?
and maybe if needed something for immunes. This is without that, cant atmas+something on switch handle it?

Edit: one more thing, I wont get much good resistance with this gear, can get some charms and stuff. Maybe its not so needed for an amazon?

resistance is always good.
dont put any more in multi.
maybe more in penetrate if you want.
you dont HAVE to have fa. you can always use magic arrow, cuz you have it as a prereq......

Just a couple of things to add:

1) You are going to have +5 to all skills (3 from torch and 2 from Andy)
2) Try to get a crappy anni with high resists (ideally 10/20/5) or better if you can afford it. This will help you in so many ways (and bring + skills to 6)
3) 17 points in Decoy is overkill, you can always recast Valk if she dies, spread those points out as the others have said. Personally, I max critical strike, but I have more points to play with due to pluses from weilding Faith myself.

Ok, how much would you say in decoy? 5-10?

Yeah gonna try get a low anni, anyone have one to sell? :)
And have bidded for one passive and magic skiller.

I have maxed multi already :/ But I think it will work, was to fast to put skills out in the start. The guide I read suggested max multi though.

Thanks for all help guys.

I use a whooping 1 point (pre-req) myself and don't have any trouble, so I'd say no more than 5. You will be killing so fast that it shouldn't be a problem. I do use strafe as my main attack, so I get a chance to trigger Atma's and Knockback on every arrow. The constant knockback means my Valk and Merc never get swarmed, so your results may vary slightly using multi-shot.

Just start low and add later if needed.
