Are there any particular areas you enjoy clearing out?

I enjoy cleaning out all of Kurast except the Sewers. I'm trying hard not to sound psychopathic when I say I really enjoy killing the zakarumites. Something about slaughtering scores of religious fanatics brightens up my day when I'm feeling low or mad. Case in point: I leveled a skellimancer from 45 to 62 in NM Kurast out of sheer sadistic fun and I got an SoJ and Goldskin to boot! I didn't even touch the Council for fear that it might do that thing where the zakarumites will run away from my necro. I suppose I would get a stronger kick out of chasing them down, but it's really annoying trying to hit the fleeing enemies with melee characters.

If you like laying waste to Zakarumites and are appaled at them allways running away from you, you could go that extra mile and work around the travincial quest.
On the up side, the Zakarumites don't run away from you anymore, they still litter your path even if you are level 8x.
I used to think it was a matter of level, that once your level was higher then theirs, they would start to "run for the hills". But it's really a matter of compelling orb. As long as you don't finish A3Q5, the orb is in tact and they are still under the influence of the orb, so they will attempt to attack you.
Since it actually costs more effort to work around it then to just complete the quest, I don't consider it skipping content. Though I do admit it might not be the way Blizzard intended it to be played. They intended for the Zakarumites to run and cower in fear, while with me, they fight like real warriors ! Does it really make things easier ? Well, you don't have to chase them around to get a perfect kill score, but they at least swarm you rather then one standing in the corner trying to fight you cause he has nowhere else to run and the others just running away only to be done in one at a time.
Dacar, what says yee, is the above the advocacy of the devil ? Please remove it if it is, as I do not wish to incite a revolt.

Realise though, that the Zakarumites are innoscent victims in all this. They are compelled to attack you and once that hold on them is broken they are confused, they will run and only defend themselves if they are cornered. So choose wisely. :)

corpse explosion definitely is one of the most enjoyable skills to use :)

Aww, now I've lost motivation to go to Kurast for another round of zakarumite-bashing... for now. :cry:

I guess my killing zakarumites reflects a fear of being controlled by others who have such a deep-seated conviction of their beliefs that they'll enforce it by any and all means necessary. I'm not particularly happy about the last few years and how I've realized religion is an incredibly touchy subject yet some use it as a hammer to force upon others. Damn proselytizers.

I completely forgot about CE! I never even thought about using that skill, even though I've read about its godliness. It's just getting that first body is a real pain with just a clay golem.

I use a blood golem to get the first body going, after that it's just skelly summoning and when they are around in considerable numbers getting somebody to die is reatively quick and painless.

The rest is good ol' spraypainting the screen red using explosions... How cool is that? :D

I use a level 32 Iron Golem to get that first corpse. Let the enemy kill itself. Add some IM to that and you got a real party on their head.
