View Full Version : Amazon Tourney -- CANZON vs USZON 4
If we are going to play together, how about this:
Single player TCP/IP only
Use of uniques is prohibited
use of runewords is prohibited
You can only use blues, whites or yellows.
You can twink to your hearts content.
You can socket them with whatever you like, as long as it doesn't make a runeword.
Sound like an interesting start? We can think about the use of uniques, but I like the thought of a more challenging game this set of rules would give us.

Hmmmmm, sounds kinda in between classic and LOD. Twinking is kinda out of the question for me since I have only played the realms for MANY years. I guess I could dig up some starter gear & gold from my ancient SP chars.
Players 8, reusable maps, atma and NO LAG....I'm up for it!

what about crafting?
I don't know about sets or crafting. I would say that eth items are OK, as well as socketed items. Sets can get pretty powerful. Crafting is hit or miss. What do you guys think?
Don't worry about twinking. I have been collecting stuff on Atma since 1.09. I think I have enough stuff to twink a few folks. Many items arew worthless, I am sure. But I used to keep every rare that dropped. I have 2,548 items in the rare stach. Let me do a dump (not that, you dirty mind) and see what is there over the next couple of days.

True, and it makes moving items between characters (and friends via email) easy. It also has some decent built in calculators.
Bottom line: It's our tourney, we get to make the rules.:wink3:

Starting the thread for our new game, I made it to get my cube last night at about level 16 or so. My bowbarian is slow but fun so far. I would bet that once I get Battle orders, he will be a party friendly dude. Now, I just need that Hellrack...

This is not the SP game in the original post. This is a game to just have fun with for a while. We are playing on East and no muling allowed, at least for now.
And it's softcore so you can make any old goofy build you want.:laugh: I'm gonna try a spearie, though I'm still using javs ATM. Just start a character, we'll catch yeah up.

If we are going to make strange characters, perhaps we should allow some limited muling. Like a Hellrack... I have that wand that I could probably trade for a hellrack and a sheal. :laugh:

how about this? anything goes...just have fun...if you have equipment that you want to mule onto you character..do it..i am starting a jabber...she is still low enough that i could go back to act 1 and play along until you catch up...we should try the ubers once our builds are finished. :yikes: i will probably just play untwinked though.
i am staying away from my SP girl tonight...i don't think my nerves can take playing her two nights in a row...i can play with you guys anytime just give a time and place. :thumbsup:

Sirdoofuss, how is that Robinhoodadin coming along? The bowbarian is OK. He is slow, and the damage is getting worse as I progress into act 3. But with muling allowed, I may be able to transfer better and better bows until I can use my WWS. I think that is probably the best bow for him (the deadly strike will be helpful, and it is fast), unless I decide make a faith in a non amazon only bow, but I don't have the runes at this time.

I've been slowly leveling my Druid. Just completed Act 3 normal and am at level 24. Kind of hoping someone would PM me the game name/pswd.

We're just playing East softcore ladder. We are trying to play together and stick as close to each other as possible. A few peeps are still in normal so I have stopped leveling to allow them to catch up. I am in act 1 NM. I think Yogi is doing the same.
Let us know if you are interested, then start a character (untwinked ot twinked, whatever you want). Then we can PM game names to everyone. Post here that the game is up and PM the name and psw to everyone.

Nor do I. I would venture to guess that most forum regulars are good to go. We just don't want Bnet flotsam and jetsam to join and ruin the game for everyone.

I am on only at night or anytime on weekends. I have been leveling another character lately waiting for the others to catch up here. Once they do, I'll play my bowbarian again.

I found a gull on a NM baal run. Not sure what I am going to do with it. I also found some blue javs with +1 to barbarian masteries. I don't think I ever saw javs with barb skills before.

arggg...third time trying to post this...i am going to steal the valve stems out of every bell canada truck i can find tonight.
well it doesn't look like i will be able to play online for about a week...last night my phone went on the fritz...all i get is static...my highspeed internet comes in over the phoneline and it cuts in and out about every 5 seconds...just enough to screw up my game and get me realm downed...i just got off the phone with bell's customer support, after waiting on hold for 30 minutes and listening to static...someone will be able to come to look at the problem september 21 :shocked:...the idiot on the other end pretended that he couldn't hear me from the static and was trying to get off the phone after i said the 21st was unacceptable....i called him a #@$%*&^%...he heard that and said there was no reason to swear at him...am i missing something? i have been paying an extra 15 bux per month for years now for "free" line maintenance and now the money grubbing monopoly tells me to do without phone and stable internet for a week...bastards.
I've been overly busy with work/school/sleep, so I think I can only play at work, during my overnight shifts, or on saturday/sunday, if i get called into work, or if I stay home that night.
Then again, I might be busy with Xeno3 or Dirge of Cerberus during my free time.:thumbsup:

My schedule really conflicts with my free time, and what little free time I do have over the next little while, I may spend by playing 1 of two video games I've purchased just recently. Xenosaga Episode III, and Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus.
Thursday and Friday are the days I work overnight, so I may play some Diablo 2 at work around then, however I may have homework. I am off on Saturday and Sunday, but, I'll be doing other things with the free time I have on those days. Otherwise, if I get called into work on a Saturday or Sunday, the chances of me playing Diablo 2 will be high. :smiley:

Yes. I have been under the weather the last few nights and called it a night early. I went to bed before 9 PM last night. I need to finish hell act 5 tonight. Not before 8:30 PM, though.

i can be as soon as i finish this last false tomb...it is by far the nastiest one i have cleared...i am averaging about an hour to empty each room...one more leg of the tomb to go and i can join you guys...i can't stop now. :thumbsup:

Sorry Dave. I played until about 30 minutes before you posted. I am still not feeling better and it has forced me to bed early. I found a couple of goodies for my bowbarian: IK helm and a nice crossbow (I forgot the stats). We'll see how those go for him. I went back and did Izzy and then called it quits for the night.
I'll be back on during the day today and more likely tonight.

that went a lot faster with rick in the game...it seemed liked the damn ancients ignored everyone except lilith...if one wasn't whirlwinding through me another was leaping on me...without a fast attack and mega leech she wouldn't have lasted to the end of that fight.
