whats a good Mf sorc build? Dont know this area.

Looking for a good mf sorc build for tele runz in andy and meph... I haven't played d2 in awhile and just got back into it.. Still have my original account and have been refreshing for some time just incase im bored over the summer lol. Im only familiar with barbs =/ decided to give sorc a try... let me know. thx

Blizz sorcs are efficient meph runners when one uses the moat trick. Put points into:
blizz,
mastery,
ice blast OR glacial spike
the other of the two
Ice bolt

Other than that, a point in tele, and a point in static if you feel like it. One of the armors makes it easier to tele (don't remember the name), and is also sufficient with 1 point.

There's a lot of mf gear from which to choose. Just get as much mf as you can and still survive teleporting, etc, nicely. This page contains all sorts of breakpoints for fcr, fhr, etc:

I find the 40 fcr breakpoint and (I think) the 50 fhr breakpoint sufficient for meph and andy, but some prefer the 70 fcr bp.

Common mf items are:

3 ptopaz helm (or tarn)
Angelic rings, armor, ammy
gull
chancies
tancreds ammy + another item (usually boots)
sigon's boots +2 items (prolly too high str for this build)
nagels
goldwrap

rare rings, boots, etc with resists and mf. Shard is a common choice for fcr from a weapon, and 3 diamond shields make resists easier.

An orb sorc is also a fine choice. Check out fred's miniguide for skill and stat placement as well as some item suggestions:

He seems to have zero fcr, which might make tele more dangerous. I don't claim to be an expert on this build, but one thing you could do easily is switch gull for shard while teleporting.

make a fire sorc.... switch to mf gear with perfect tarn, gull, if u are rich sock an armor with a p topz and fcr mf rings... keep the mage fist gloves and if u have one ... use a skill mf ammy ... do andy runs....fire sorcs pwn andy ez

You won't need much mf for andy (if you got the quest bug anyway). She doesnt drop good rares tho but is good for soj. Id go for blizz and meph runs.

Generally enough str for gear, zero dex (unless shard, in which case, enough dex for shard with your other gear), all vit, no energy (although some people will sometimes put some).

Blizz is a good MFer because it's easy to solo from level 1, and at higher levels you get massive dmg and it's good for other things too.

I'd make mi blizzer then wat Norvi11 But its all a matter of opinion

I'd go
20 blizz
20 blast
20 ice bolt
1 tele
1 in ice shield
atleast 12 in Cold mastery
The rest either in cold mastery or glacial spike

Cast blizz on boss then span Ice blast

Again this is just my opinion not saying it is better then the other way's.
